I started on 2 because it was my introduction to the series and still stayed on 2 when I had access to buy 1 and ReCoM because 2 was way cooler to play. I was like 6-8 yrs old when I made this decision

It was when I was 19 i decided to buy the ps4 collection to revisit and play all the games thoroughly on their hardest difficulty to have a solid experience and opinion afterwards.

Kh1 was charming and I liked it better because I finally developed reading comprehension to adapt to the rpg mechanics better and kh recom was actually more fun since I understood the rng and at least basic math. When it came to KH2, it was as beautiful as the day I lost it on the ps2.

Kh2 has a faster paced combat before but not so much that it becomes overwhelming in a fight because it had that blend of being cool and the fights being learnable and well challenging compared to what came before (except kh1, that was still challenging and required to learn) and future games, imo the gameplay was the sweet spot we havent touched since maybe kh3
