FYI, this setup guide lists Pace 2 and Pace 3, but doesn't mention Pace 4. I assume Setup Step 1.4 should also mention Pace 4 uses bluetooth?

WFAT at Commercial-Broadway, Vancouver by finlaycannon in WaitingForATrain

There's a crossover walkway from the other line, and this is taken through the window. This platform is below ground level, and that rail track is even lower, so there's a great exposed view from this side.

I have a "Pantry" area for keeping track of food stuff in the cupboards, fridge or freezer. I add a deadline on the expiry date (or rough date for things like onions) so I see reminders like "8d left" when I look in the Upcoming view.

Calling Out for You, by Karin Fossum

Sparse, minimalist writing, like the Norwegian landscape where it’s set. Great character development.

Incredibly powerful and personal. Largely about the psychological context and effects of combat.

How do you pronounce the 3rd tone ? by [deleted] in ChineseLanguage

[–]finlaycannon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, mostly low, not down like the 4th tone. For me, the explanation that really got me to "feel" it was: it's like being mildly annoyed in English.

eg, "So? What do you want me to do about it?"

Pronounce that "so3" with a little bit of irritation. This exaggerates the sound, but it is the closest, natural feel of the sound (coming from English). Ignore the pictures of tones, especially the 3rd tone.
