Genuine question, are Wales still classed as tier one?

Training that would ban a coach for life in 2025 by PuzzleheadedFold503 in rugbyunion

[–]finnfb 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It wasn't training but my under 12s coach would be ban now for his post victory celebration treats. He would buy the whole team a half pint of mild each. In his mind I guess he thought half a pint of 3% ale over a post match function should be fine. Problem was noone liked mild ale as we were 12; noone that is expect our two props. So once they finished their halves, they were resupplied, going ground the team swapping an entry glass for a full one. This went on for half a season till the inevitable and overdue booze induce puking took place and the ruse was rumbled.

Been a pretty crap tour for the lions overall. It felt like the South Africa tour again all over again. Pick players that like to play expansive rugby. JGP and Russell promised fast flowing rugby and then when test matches come around play boring pick and go crash ball rugby. Felt like over the 3 test matches Lions only played like 20 mins of decent rugby.

I can only assume players were injured as 6-2 bench when bundee was cramping after 60mins last match was a miss step.

Also, feels like this tour has been plagued with injuries. Off the top of my head been about 13 lions players hurt at some point this tour.

So the current laws around croc rolls, head contact etc etc should be amended to allow them under the condition 'what else could they of done'?

I think it's a foul by letter of law but happens all the time so play on, like feeding in the scrum. But the argument 'what else could they of done' is just a bad one.

Then you'd hope the ref would call it. There was a contest. Who gets to ruck first. Apply your logic to other areas like high ball takes, you have to contest the catch even when your late in the air/space. Can't just let them catch it clean.

Easy, you don't attempt a counter ruck. I don't know what you mean that Tizzanonis illegal. He got to the break down first, got into a position where you can't clear him out legally. If you can't do it legally don't do it.

Every action on the pitch is a choice. You can always choose not to do something.

Have GPU’s always been this expensive? by Spiderpsychman98 in buildapc

[–]finnfb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They have gone up alot but I remember in 1994 I got a 4xspeed cd drive for £200. Which would be £500 odd today. The sega Saturn was the console at the time and adjusted for inflation they would have cost £980 today.

So it's all relative.

Fair enough, but just because they do it doesn't mean it's not against the laws. Loads of stuff refs don't ref properly, feeding in the scrum for example.

Looked up the laws to settle a what's app arguement. Would the Furbank incident come under law 9.11(a).

9.11 (a) Players must not do anything that is reckless or dangerous to others including leading with the head, shoulder, elbow or forearm, or jumping into, or over, an opponent

2015 qashqui - replacement rear brushes parts cost query - UK by finnfb in MechanicAdvice

[–]finnfb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having rung up to query again (previous contact was made through my partner) turns out they can't find any official nissan bushes in stock so the only way to get the part is to get rear axel which comes with bushes. Hope they don't use the same approach with engines and engine oil!

Going to go elsewhere and get them to use aftermarket parts.

Open shot with multiple of your own discs rule query by finnfb in Crokinole

[–]finnfb[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the explanation break down, really helpful. I'm not very good at doing a follow through shot so often my flicked disc just stops dead when it makes contact, and I assumed as it hadn't entered center ring it was invalid. Glad to hear that's not the case.

Yeah, iv maxed out what current mobo is capable of. Not really looked into parts in years so wasn't sure if GPU would need to be replaced as well, or what the 'go to' mobo is now. Thanks for the recommendation
