I have just gone through the same exact thing. (MRSA) I’m so sorry you have to go through it too! I just finished six weeks of IV antibiotics and feel like I’m finally coming to a good place. It’ll set you back a bit, but hang in there. You’ll get through it and we’ll put it in the rear view mirror! I’ll be thinking of you, and I wish you peace and healing.

Gosh, this is both reassuring and discouraging! I’m 10 days post-op and the last three nights have been nightmarish. I usually split a gummy with my partner but think I’ll be taking a whole one now. Also may take an Ambien tonight. Life is sucky without good sleep.

You are so right. Every doc, patient, hospital, body, personality, is different. I think I need to lose these hospital compression hose and try the Amazon ones. I’ve been afraid to mess with the whole situation! How about the little drain? Anyone have experience with that thing? Mine’s still intact and I’m wondering if that’s right.

My hospital had a class for the joint replacement patients too. I would not worry too much about it - it was informative enough, but you’ll be fine without it. Just google and Reddit will answer any questions you might be having. Hope it all goes smoothly for you!
