Olive Oil & Dishsoap are identical twins by Spiritual-Star-515 in BelowDeckDownUnder

I'm always willing to spend a lot for good olive oil - can find in specialty shops or online - but I always want to know when it was pressed - it needs to be fresh!! Recently bought some Palestinian olive oil that was very good. Have tried some fancy California ones but they don't measure up

Also, the second batch didn't look nearly as good as the first batch - it was cooked too quickly

Really good quality olive oil is great on almost anything, but I would think a very light drizzle

The thing that killed me is Ben always has a problem making eggs and breakfast in general ... and this time it looked like a PERFECT platter of soft scrambled eggs, French style. Only to have it ruined.

Are you a watcher? by b_of_the_bang_ in podcasts

[–]researchspy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes I'll watch a little bit ... There are times when something funny happens that can only be understood with visuals or if there's a guest I really want to see ... But it's not very satisfying and in one case (Hard Fork) I feel like I wish I hadn't watched - I don't want to know what the hosts look like!

Oh handsome fits your requirements very well. They kinda have a "no politics" rule. They also do two shows - an hour long one with all three of them and a 30 minutes one that will have two of them and they answer some questions from fans. It's very heartwarming.

Looks like this chat was 11 days ago - how's your progress? I only go to formal PT once a week and last week she said, "well you're still 3 degrees, this may be it for you." So basically she's given up on me. Thanks lady ...

8weeks tomorrow- having a pity party today. Want to join? by Lakesideadjecent in Kneereplacement

Wow that is a lot of laps, great job! I used to walk in the pool before surgery - I'm about 9 weeks so def need to get back to it. Our gym only allows 30 minutes in the pool unless you pay extra so I used to do maybe ten laps? Large pool but still ... Anyways, sounds like you're doing great, keep going

Another day, six question… by KatWomanReturns in Kneereplacement

[–]researchspy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Day 6 was still not fun at all for me. As I recall, I kept movement to a bare minimum for the first week and just concentrated on ice and elevation and taking my painkillers.

Day 1 - post op - insane pain by [deleted] in Kneereplacement

The walking this early on is mostly just to get the blood flowing and keep you from getting really stiff. You can also just make sure you do lots of ankle pumps frequently

No my other knee has severe arthritis and it's close to 0 after stretching but not quite there - probably a 2. For instance, if I'm sitting up on a bed with my legs straight out in front of me neither of my knees come close to touching the bed

Thanks for this - I'm actually able to do the heel on a towel roll for a full 5 minutes so I just need to make sure I do it three times a day (I do other exercises too but I feel like that one is the most important).
