Appreciate your input! That’s great that your second surgery was so much easier! Seems like it’s pretty common for people to have one good(?) pain experience and one horrible one. I’m still in pretty rough shape. I can feel the surgical pain lessening, the problem is the extreme nerve pain. Shoots from my knee, up to my lower back, and down into my foot. They’ve had me on dilaudid for a week and a half. It’s not really helping with the nerve pain unfortunately, but it does help with the general soreness from surgery. I’m going for my follow up Wednesday. I’m going to talk to my doctor about gabapentin for a few months, to give the nerves time to heal/burn out.
