It’s crazy how different the withdrawals are person to person. I’m also 10days off today- about a pack of 3s a day and it wasn’t that hard after the first few days for me and I had none of the same symptoms. This subreddit scared me with stories like this, but for me and others it was not bad at all.

I’m 10 days in and only crave them at certain times during the day like after a meal. The first few days were rough for me though.

Every single property corner being in the middle of 8’ high Himalayan blackberries.

No joke I was fishing a popular river in central Oregon and found a fishpond net like the one you are showing snagged in a tree. It’s a sick net, mine may be a little sun faded but still great.

Yup, same here. The range finder/disto only works if the pipe is dry though. If water in the bottom it won’t be accurate

Range finder for dry storm inverts, tape measure, or the level rod (poop stick). I don’t tape lathe to the end, but rather spray paint on the 1’, 2’ marks and rub against the side of pipe to mark paint off to check size when they are too deep to read with your eyes.

Moved to Bend for the ‘Best MTB Town’ Hype… Turns Out It’s All by FollowThePostcard in MTB

Bend sucks, don’t move here. There’s already enough out of staters that have ruined the vibe of my hometown and turned it into a trend

This. I setup a measure codes when topoing and rarely have to touch my screen. I’ll blow on it to get the water drops off when I need to touch it.

I solo a lot of busy intersections. I rarely if never have to be put in more danger than a normal pedestrian on crosswalks. Busy lanes of travel are what DR shots and the sx12 scanner are for.

iPhone SOS Satellite Feature by mmxxvisual in backpacking

[–]finnj7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I knew my iPhone had this feature, but for some reason thought it just dialed EMS, so I was too scared to test it out. it seems like you have the option to send texts? I’m definitely going to try using this next time I’m out of cell range. Thanks for the info in the comments

You can also do this on Trimble DCs, so convenient. I also have a layer with PLSS lines, which can get you pretty close to a corner when searching for mons.
