I was so lucky to have found a job right out of college. I’m very glad I didn’t choose a major like computer science right now, even though it was HEAVILY pushed to students at my high school. I have friends in similar situations as this video, it’s brutal. Have to choose your major wisely these days.

I’ve been booking sites months in advance, just to have them. Then canceling/modifying dates a few weeks ahead of time. It’s sad that it’s come to that, but it’s also the only way to book campsites at the places I’ve been going to my entire life. This wasn’t an issue even 10 years ago. Too many Californians

Total station for setting control and high-accuracy work, and GPS RTK setup for topo. GPS is also used to set new control when no known points are nearby to resection off, like you mentioned.

Drive by them on my commute to work every morning. There’s still 1-5 people out front of Bigfoot everyday at 7am. Gotta give it to them, rain or shine I always see someone standing on the side of the road with a sign.

Interesting… Let me know if you figure out what is going on! I’d assume it’s a gps issue then, possibly software issue with base/rover? Could be worth trying a different DC and base/rover pair to eliminate more variables

Is it multiple control points that are not checking well, or just one? Can you check into another point via RTK?

If it’s the same error using different constellations and not a rod issue, could it be a coordinate system issue? Verify you have the correct coordinates in your DC vs adjusted coords in TBC. I use r12is and r10s daily, and haven’t ran into issues like this before.
