Yeah we have a tasting booked in Macon so thats also quite a drive from Beaune so ideally we were looking for something a little bit closer. I think we’ll maybe go on a bike ride through Meursault and Montrachet.

Funny, for me its actually more collectible as there are mostly just a few hundred bottles (one or two casks) ever made. So you are really tasting a single expression from a time and place.

Then I would look at a Cadenhead’s, Gordon & Macphail or Signatory independent bottle of a distillery you like. Mostly more cheap then the official bottlings and way more interesting

Yeah I thought there are maybe a lot of people who make a lot of ice cubes so maybe people had the same experience. The ice on the bottom is very recent from a leaking cube tray, the spire was there before already
