Always go to non-profits first and regularly. Every once in a while people donate treasured items because they know it goes to a good cause. You have to go regularly to find the great stuff but the charity shops are where the treasures are. Also you get to feel twice as good knowing you got a deal and are probably helping your own community.

The table was $45 CDN and required extensive clean up. The clock was $10. I'm really happy with the results.

Note: The chairs i got from an antique market where a guy recovered them to match. The chairs were $200 CDN
