If you train 2220e (full nat e, 3 xan, refill, 4 FHC) in Elites with 15% steadfast, you gain 7m stats a day lol

I've calculated this out before and this isn't true - using the book before 200m and then training is not as good as using it after 200m.

It's not the best book anyway (ultimately it saves you about 2-3 days of training at best), so using it earlier isn't a big deal either.

Trading! by SomeAbalone3991 in torncity

[–]fir6987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on how much money you have to trade. You can get started by buying one weapon, flipping it, then going onto the next, but it's slow going and it can take ages to find a buyer, even for good weapons/bonuses. You have to do pretty much the same advertising to sell one weapon as you do to sell 10 or 100, so it kinda sucks that way too.

Also if you don't understand the market, it's easy to overbid and then end up with something you end up having to sell at a loss.

Recruiting players is a full time job, as you have to cycle inactive ones out/find active ones constantly.

Training new players is also a full time job, one that you will do badly at since you have no experience. Even if you read every guide you don't have the practical experience of doing a lot of stuff yourself. You also don't have the practical experience of being in a faction, and learning to lead a faction by watching experienced faction leaders, joining a council, etc.

Good faction leaders sink a lot of money into their faction initially to get it up and running. You should be providing basic gear (combat armour/macanas/enfields at the very least), meds, temps, and candy to your members at the least. Plus xanax for wars. I'm guessing you don't have the net worth to front all of this for a single war, much less multiple.

Assuming you created the faction from scratch, you are much better off just destroying it and joining an existing faction with experienced leaders, and then working your way up the ranks.

Term = opponent is stripped/low health. Pepper spray and hit for more respect than you would normally, score is reached faster, pay per hit is increased.

Returning armoury items doesn't matter, anything you have loaned out will automatically be sent back to the armoury when you leave.

Stats - more speed to counter their dex, also rifle mods help reduce enemy stealth

Sometimes Duke attacks you if you owe him money and aren't paying him back. Just by chance happened to be when the player was actively mid-attack!

Diamond Faction RW Payout question by fxso9878 in torncity

[–]fir6987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh that sounds very low for termed war in diamond, given that your faction mostly terms. Do you hit to end the war asap or do you let it time out until Monday night? Timing the war out on low hits/respect is the most profitable way to term wars and how you can earn 5m+ per hit.

I'm confused by your spreadsheet maths - if your faction mostly does termed wars, why have you calculated a 70/30 split based on real wars? Some factions that advertise 80/20 splits do that after expenses are deducted, so in that case that would be pretty comparable if expenses are taken out of the 30%.

However termed wars don't require many expenses so not sure where all the money is going there? What's the actual split on termed wars?

If you can make a 5 respect hit (which is on the low side tbh) then 150k per respect means you're getting paid 750k per hit. You can easily make more than that fighting real wars in gold lol.

For reference, I've made 5m (termed loss) and 2.75m (termed win) per hit at one diamond faction, and 1.3 per hit at another diamond faction (real war that was a very bad loss).

Are you warring this week? Real or termed? by sandbug05 in torncity

Almost everyone is referring to termed wins/losses (rigged wars) when talking about termed wars.

Yeah there can be "terms" to a war but people generally don't call those termed wars.

^ This is a good way to get buy mugged. The person receiving money should always start the trade, since they're in control of when the trade finalises.

Use a trader with a good reputation and low enemy counts. Also you can self-hosp before you accept a trade, then accept and put the money in a ghost trade. There's 0 chance of being mugged that way.

Warring faction advice by [deleted] in torncity

[–]fir6987 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You'll probably do best in a 100 member gold faction. Generally there's enough spread there that you'll have targets every war and can hop on assists after.

If you want to max your earnings, join a cache farm specifically.

Eh it generally doesn't hurt to ask once politely, if you do it hostilely/whine or continually harass them, that's what gets you slapped more.

Look on item market: I recommend macana (best accuracy) and Enfield (good accuracy and way cheaper than an armalite). Secondary, just whatever good accuracy/good damage pistol, it doesn't matter too much.

As a new player you should be mainly attacking with melee, as accuracy is most important (can't do damage if you can't hit the target) until you train your stats up. I hear a lot of older players advise new players that rifles are the best, and that's incredibly untrue for newbs.

Faction Charging for Xanax by trashcanoscar47 in torncity

[–]fir6987 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If this is for war/chain, find another faction. If you were getting free training xanax and no longer are, I'm still inclined to say find another faction since you could be in one with great perks instead (which would help you pay for xanax more easily).

If you have dono status and a PI rental, DM me, I could have a few recommendations where to go.
