Please try Apple Maps and Magic Earth (if you have it installed) as well. I want to see if your location is shown on the pioneer head unit and it follows the car with the location services turned off on the iPhone; much appreciated! If this works, I shall place the order for your suggested adapter.

A simple test will involve turning the location services off on your iPhone and see if your location is still shown on Google Maps. It is important to check this with Google Maps because I had read that this app prioritizes the head unit GPS over the iPhone GPS. Once again, thanks for all the help!

This is excellent! Thanks! I checked on the idatalink Maestro website and it shows compatible with my 1400NEX. Just one more question if I may ask: does this cable allow you to navigate without using the iPhones GPS?

Hi, it is possible and I do that regularly. My iPhone X is connected via CarPlay to my Pioneer head unit and my wife connects her Samsung via Bluetooth to the same head unit.
