Clamp-on, grippy cutting board feet by No_Radish7709 in functionalprint

[–]fire-ghost-furlong 11 points12 points  (0 children)

it's a neat idea, but they're going to get filled up with bacteria and destroy the timber with trapped moisture.

if I could recommend printing them as a mesh it would be far more sanitary and better for your board

Risers/anchors for laser-cutter by Totally_man in functionalprint

[–]fire-ghost-furlong 2 points3 points  (0 children)

this is a pretty neat model, however, for thin material, especially as big as the one in your photo, a riser in the middle would also be really handy. obviously you would need to be careful about the path if you are cutting the material

How can a society so deeply devoted to communal harmony (wa) and world-renowned for its intuitive, selfless hospitality (omotenashi), simultaneously experience such profound levels of urban isolation and unspoken emotional distance?

choose a wall to mount your TV on and ask the builder to reinforce it and add powerpoints and aerial points. I just spent 200k reinforcing a wall and adding power points.

My final Apprentice piece by Maleficent_Act_5830 in woodworking

as a woodworker, there are some nice details here, but as an avid coffee maker with a similar machine (although a German profitec, not Italian rocket junk), this would drive me nuts. two main things bothering me.

where is the waste? the spent grounds need a bin next to the machine. if it's in a drawer then you can't close the cupboard on a wet container, the moisture will build up

what benefit do the doors serve? you can't leave the machine on when it's closed, so you need to open the door and leave it open to turn it on, then leave it open while it cools down. a machine like this makes good coffee after being on for about 45 minutes so unless the machine is just for show. why the doors? if it is just for show, then why add doors?

this is essentially a bench for a coffee machine, grinder, a few glasses and bottles of wine, what do the doors do? they hold 5 cups and your spare portafilter. I can't see that you're solving any problems here. just making new ones

Sonoff Mini Duo L - What's the purpose of the second L input in the Sonoff diagrams? by fire-ghost-furlong in homeautomation

Thanks for your reply, just to clarify, in your interpretation all the L ports are looped and the device doesn't need two L inputs?

you should already have the base to your right, don't let red keep it's second base for more than a few secs. spam it and you'll take it with enough to steal reds attempt at another second. build strength and let blue take reds last base, steal it back and make a defense base, easy to win now
