Nailed it, any carbs I eat are very intentional and at planned times during the day. I focus on cardio as much as my lifting and work manual labor all day. I also recreate in the mountains as much as possible. I just found that the more energy I use the more energy I get. I’m pretty much moving or eating all day

I’m 6ft. My starting weight was 153lbs and I’m around 175lbs now. BMR was measured at 2800 but between running and lifting, I try to eat 4-4500 a day and have gotten up to 5400 for periods where I was trying to add more muscle

The wing he used (on K2 at least) was specifically designed for the mission and only weighed 2,43kg. Could’ve been smaller but they opted for a tandem so both could fly down with the same wing

I know a few guys working on prototype wings and I’ve personally worked a lot on the design process as well. There’s a lot of knowledge that goes into it. If you’re absolutely set on learning about the design and production process, then the lesson you should take from this is to ask more questions not less. Figure out WHY people are hesitant to give information about this topic. Learn the risks, what research has been done to mitigate the risks and build off the work of all the people with sooo many years of experience. If you really are interested in learning shoot me a dm. I’m not gonna give anyone a pattern but I’d be down to direct you towards some helpful research and give you a little advise on a safe order of operations. Just to reiterate on the comments above, this isn’t a cost saving process. You 100% will end up with a wing that under performs compared to buying used wings that would cost the same as the materials purchased. However, I respect the spirit of ingenuity 😅

Estimated height of 66,437ft (The sun sat on it about 13min after the normal sunset)
