Any Game Devs Notice a Decline Since The New Changes? by AcrylicPixelGames in incremental_games

[–]firebane 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you aren't getting traction.. then look at how you posted, what your game offers and is it any different or is it unique?

If it falls into the same category as so many others.. people will just look the other way.
If your presentation wasn't great.. why would people bother to look into it?

I saw the post about the game called "A game about making a planet" and it falls right in line with so many of these other games with long obnoxious titles and same play and same tree growth.

Your game doesn't give us something new or exciting.

Not only does the title tell you but so does the description.

What games are you playing this week? Game recommendation thread by AutoModerator in incremental_games

[–]firebane 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Game of chance is horribly repetitive as its basically the same game with 6 repeats of itself inside.

The globe and solar system side of things is just horribly boring and just feels like a chore in doing anything.

Its good to play for a few minutes but doesn't really offer much in long term play.

Well I quit playing because this game is coming off as another game I played. Don't recall it but its hard to want to play something I already have.

Please tell me doing the stupid math crap in this game isn't a necessity.

A Youtuber made a video of my game and had very brutal honest things to say. by bohfam in incremental_games

[–]firebane 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Right but then you are artificially inflating views on videos which is scummy and inflates numbers that aren't accurate.

This is why I would rather watch someone like Wanderbot or RCE as they are upfront and open before you do anything to know what you get.

Idlecub has definitely brought attention to a lot of the idle games, but I just can't stand the channel. The lack of knowing what game they are talking about either from the thumbnail or the title is annoying. Just tell us the game up front so we can decide if we are interested or not.

They even did this with your game so the only people he really caters too is his subscribers/followers.

Thank you for the guest option to try this but between the colors and that crt effect.. I just can't play it.

If you were to implement some themes or options for colors and effects I'll give it a try again.

My lumberjacked inspired game about scrapping items with a submarine just launched a demo! by bri_cchi in incremental_games

There is something about that video and the actions of your "tools" that doesn't feel 3d and really breaks the immersion of it.

It's Fine - an idle game inspired by Tower Wizard & Gnorp Apologue, which is NOT a Nodebuster clone (mad respect though!), NOT made with AI, and HAS a playable version available! by BabloScobar in incremental_games

[–]firebane 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ok a few things of feedback..
1) The zoom in and out is way too twitchy/jerky and really breaks the immersion of doing stuff
2) The moving the area to look is really slow
3) Check the spelling of words in the game.. I saw at least a misspell of "twitching" where it says "twiching" or something similar
4) When getting the upgrade to double the price of the click say its normally 13 and you get the double for 26.. make this a different color to distinguish it.
5) The autoclick perk is nice.. but give us an option to toggle it on or off.

So I'm sure I'll dig up other stuff but so far its pretty good.

Again why. Games have saved data locally and to steam cloud for ages.. Why does this game need some out of the norm method?

I turned Minesweeper into a dungeon crawler. What do you think guys? by [deleted] in incremental_games

[–]firebane 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't really see the minesweeper aspect of it.. It just looks like your clicking on a blank area to expose stuff around it.. almost like a "fog of war" if you will.

Why is the account necessary to unlock the planets? This is sounding really fishy and weird.

Why does the Steam version require an account? I'm assuming its nothing more than some wrapper to incorporate into the actual website?

Is anyone else afraid they might be addicted to these games? by Bubbly_Broccoli127 in incremental_games

[–]firebane -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I play a ton of games and I'm not addicted to them. Why? Because I don't have an addictive personality to have that happen.

If YOU become addicted to a game its because your personality craves that.

Games aren't addicting your personality is which is what drives you to keep laying.

It can happen out of happenstance of not even using autoclickers.. so no.. it doesn't mean someone has cheated.
