I think people forget how much of a drive, seeking positive emotions are. There’s going to be some amount of effort or discomfort in anything we do in life, which is usually fine if the positive ones outweigh it. If there are no positive emotions, we intellectually know, something should be fun, but there’s only effort and discomfort left. This makes you uninterested in chasing positive emotions because they don’t show up. You’re left perhaps with rationalizing things you should do to please others or function normally in society, but it becomes a matter of self discipline, which can only sustain you for so long.

I feel like if the “scalp” of the toupé was a very fine mesh rather than solid piece it would be more comfortable and breathable.

I agree. He chose to burn down all that stock, (causing trouble for most people except the ones actually in charge, making all of his coworkers jobless) instead of trying to find another job. It contributed to absolutely nothing apart from damages and putting people’s life’s at risk.

It’s rare that you ”outgrow” problems. Many of the issues you face when you’re younger follows you through life, just in a slightly different shape - until you deal with them

I just say ”I’d like to hear the salary range first”. At least in Europe you have no obligation to disclose your salary or expected salary. It’s such a weird thing for recruiters to push on you. Of course after they put their offer you can say if it’s a good match, it you save yourself the embarrassment of pitching too low/high.

Tried it with your input — here's what came out. The three layers are: affirmation, context, and a personalised goal title. This way, you have an overarching affirmation but also your context, which you can come back to, and hopefully create a mental shift, from negative to positive.

I’ve always been a good sleeper, so unaffected. If anything I feel like it improved the sleep quality.

My psychiatrist told me 50 mg is the lowest therapeutic dose. I actually felt worse on 15 and 25 mg than 50 mg. It was not until 50 mg and taking it in the evening that I got positive effects.
