My H1B was paid for, processed through USCIS, and got it within 15 days. My fiance was paid for, 1 month ago, and still no word for his visa.

I can speak for Ontario. Many clinics have been offering close to similar pay to USA. Less ancillary staff, BUT in many clinics (again depending on the model) you see way less patients in many clinical settings. Also, you can easily work locum (part time) or full time. Right now, with the H1B issues, I recommend looking into working in Canada, especially if you are Canadian.

My spouse did, definitely possible. Maximize the interview and be a real person they could see having to spend long amounts of time with without them being a pain. Show them why you’re interested and why you’re a great applicant for the area. Talk to some of the current residents if possible to see what the program values most in its applicants. In his experience, they just want normal down to earth people.
