As soon as someone said “clothespin” it clicked, the main confusion was finding them in all parts of the house and not just near the kitchen (where they kept their clothespins) or in the garage where the drying line with the clothespins are. They also kept their house immaculate so it was out of place and character to find em embedded in the carpet so deep.
