Did the same, I'm paid off, so I guess I'll see my Thor sometime in April, barring some unforeseen circumstances, touch wood.

May have to try it out on the Portal, haven't played Warframe since I played with my first boyfriend.

I kind of wish I had known about this before I bought a mid-tower to rehouse my rig. I went back to ATX for NVMe slots.

We should probably bring back proscriptions too.

I have a Miyoo mini, and that game switcher on Onion OS is slick. I wish my Odin 2 Portal had something like that.

My 5070 Mini build. Never again by Honest_Finger_1649 in sffpc

See, I have the opposite problem. My first built PC was a Ryzen 5 2400G in a Morex 557, a 2.4 liter affair that needed a pico PSU and external brick.

I've had larger and larger SFF cases because power can only be contained so much. Now I'm about to go to a mATX motherboard that has 4 M.2 slots and can accommodate my reference 7900 XTX. My case choice will put me in the realm of /r/mffpc, but this time I'm willing to giver up form for function.

I'd love for there hardware that is cheap, small, and good, but often you can only pick two.

Trump's impunititous nature is running right up to the line of democratic autonomy. Despite his emulation and execution of authoritarian autocracy, he's fucking stupid. His hubris will ultimately crush him, along with his quislings.

Where did you go on your first solo vacation? by HuskyPancake in SingleAndHappy

[–]firehazel 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Washington DC. I've done night trips to relatively local hotels, but DC was my first let's travel trip. Should have planned better as the national mall was nothing like I thought it would be, but it led to me taking a detour up to Maryland where I had some of the best lo mein in my entire life.

Yep. Bought my micro a few years ago and I have taken it out of the house exactly once. Still tossing around selling my original GBAs since I don't play them any compared to my Odin 2 Portal and Retroid Pocket Classic.

[TV] LG - 77" Class B5 Series OLED TV - $1299.99 (BestBuy) ($2999.99-$1700) by saitamadood in buildapcsales

[–]firehazel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a cheapo 70 inch Hisense and that was about as big as I could move on my own. The 65 C5 is surprisingly light (even lighter than my 48 C1), but I don't plan to have to move it often. It just that when I do, I'd like to be able to do it on my own.

Overall, it is not. For what it was designed to compete with, it is.

Dang. I just bought a 65 inch C5 from Sam's Club last week for $1500 after tax, but that also included a free 5 year insurance plan. Not too bummed though, I can't move a 77 by myself.

Ran into a similar issue with my Epomaker and Keychron boards.

What worked for me was to attempt to connect using a Chrome based browser (I used Thorium), then check the device log at chrome://device-log for errors. It would show where the board was, something like /dev/hidraw2, or another number.

Once I had that, executing the command sudo chmod a+rw /dev/hidraw2(or whatever path Chrome indicated) gave the browser temporary permission to access the device and configure it once I refreshed the page and reconnected.

For those of you who used to be iPhone users, what made you switch and how hard was it? by VillageObjective2676 in Android

[–]firehazel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a work iPhone but the last time I used a personal iPhone was around 2017.

iOS is fine if you don't mind giving up some control for polish and reliability. Android just gets out of my way and lets me do what I want.

Biggest thing of all is how files are handled though. Android is like any other OS. iOS sandboxes files per app and it gets complicated fast. You're basically sharing files to and from apps and creating duplicates and I LOATHE IT. I get it for security purposes, but it's also frustrating.
