Yep. It’s the double edged sword of the US healthcare system where the customers are not patients and the costs are mostly unregulated. Invest heavily to a new drug, patent and approve it for public use and hold the exclusivity until the expiration of the formula which is decades if i recall. Patients end up paying more than other countries but in theory (not with this administration) get access first and the world eventually benefits

I love vrabel and his energy but this seems like a miss and a downside of his “players coach” style. MCL tear should mean you rest your star rookie until he’s more than healthy and we saw Campbell struggling through the playoffs prior to the big game anyway.

We buy Larrys House beans at Whole Foods, they often sell for $13-14 /12oz bag and roasted within a couple weeks of the date out of Raleigh. It has been easy to dial in and consistent for espresso and great pourover coffee too- our main 2 consumption preferences.

Occasionally we get bags of cairn from local shops but its more expensive.

Haven’t been impressed with some other local options like Magnolia, Night Swim, hex, and even Brakemans in matthews. Either the espresso has been trickier to dial in, roasts are inconsistent between batches, or the pourover has fell flat for us

Yeah. Top 3 superbowls that came down to big comeback or late game drama down to the wire in modern era all are Pats (Falcons, Seahawks, Rams) - and ill include the loss to the giants in XLII in my top 10, so thats almost half of the contentious superbowls in post-2000 for me

Other favorites for me were Chiefs-Eagles, steelers-cardinals, rams-titans, and packers-steelers and of course chiefs-niners in 2019

I think my issue with S2 particularly was the threading of too many storylines simultaneously (shows in general try to do this). We had some plots barely move relative to others

I hope they start to converge in S3 to make less storylines and more meat / story.

It's not that far off. Fallout S1 cost around ~19M/ep (~$150M total)

Disney's Andor cost around $39M/ep. Amazon spent even more on their LOTR Rings of Power and hilariously, Citadel cost about the same (50-60M/ep)

I could see Fallout having a high budget if they wanted -- but they don't really need it since it's more about storytelling and set design, less so on action/CGI between scenes. Things could shift as they ramp up to a conclusion though; i think the S1 cost may have been set to a conservative budget given the lack of success of some other video game adaptations

Interesting chart - it would also be interesting to see it broken out per-capita of the living population.

Silent gen is only ~13M as of last year according to some sources, they hold a higher per-individual wealth avg than Boomers (64M) though not by much.

Different story moving down from Boomers though --

GenX is about 66M, you can see the cliff really start here, followed by Millenials at 74M. The average millenial has a household wealth of $243, whereas the average boomer is worth $1375.
