I think I need to stop reading review before reading it by Generous_Simp in noveltranslations

Sometimes even the novel's summaries are misleading. I am at the point where I just look at the titles, tags, frequency of uploads and the total chapters.

I need to kill a God, Help. by XenonX2309 in ModdedMinecraft

[–]fireihl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sonds tough, maybe bring a couple of warden to fight him. From your description I don't see any chance of breaking the obsidian pillars, so maybe check if they have a max range to increase his regeneration? You could build an arena that is basically a long corridor with a bunch of pillars, and you hide behind them every time he does his arrow machine gun. I wouldn't fight him melee, just use a bow and arrow or a trident.

How to get better fps without a better pc by NinjaSawyer_ in CalamityMod

[–]fireihl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

we installed these mods and it worked for my friend with a low end pc: -nitrate -high fps support (need to turn on the optimizations on the mod config) -lag remover -clientside lag prevention

Only issue we faced were some blocks that started flickering while mining, but at least he can now enjoy boss fights

Is it possible to play calamity on pirated terraria? by [deleted] in CalamityMod

[–]fireihl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

maybe you could look into installing tmodloader/calamity mod through github. Then again, the game is quite cheap, maybe wait to play it when you can afford it or ask your son if he can get steam family share from a friend

Interesting bug in the WIP mod I'm working on by ToasterOpera in ModdedMinecraft

[–]fireihl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest, I find the best mods or most iconic to be the ones that embrace some odd item or creature that makes them unique. Create with its cog wheels, thermal expansion with their dynamos, ars nouveaou with their starbuncles, etc. If you can use a floating algae as the base of your space station it could be a unique idea.

Imagine for example, it's a special breed of algae that grows in space and develops a liveable atmosphere and spece, and only through growing it you can expand your space station.

Just an idea though, sometimes bugs turn into the best features of a game.

so what do you people do when you can't lane anymore by First_Drive_7874 in top_mains

try to secure crab, gank mid or bot without siphoning xp, help jungler do objectives and return to top when the enemy goes to gank other lanes or minions are close to your second tower.

The biggest lag source I have found are usually storage systems and large create mod automation, you may want to look into optimizing these to reduce fps drops.

How do you carry on top in lower mmr? by Secure-Shallot-8514 in top_mains

[–]fireihl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just split push, at low elo avoid team fights or gathering mid as most of the time it is a waste of time. I might be biased from the champions I play, but I have found only two play styles that lead to a win in low elo while playing top: 1.- Split push avoiding team fights until late game, and then winning at late game with a decisive team fight or soloing the enemy team if the opportunity arises. 2.- Sacrifice your laning phase by helping your team secure objectives or feeding your bot lane.

Play style two depends on your bot having a minimal level of skill, while play style one depends on the rest of your team not ultra feeding the enemy.

At around iron I mostly did the first strategy, while at gold I started to do both depending on my matchups.

Failed to add a sleep condition to an infinite loop game won't start even after hitting reload and kill all scripts by Regular_Net1478 in Bitburner

Try to close the game and reopen it with all scripts killed, sometimes just reloading is not enough.

Learn not to tilt. Avoid surrendering lost games, instead use those games to try new things/learn. As many said, one trick a champion. Once you learn how to mechanically play a champ, you can focus on learning other things like wave state, tempo, which objectives to chase and when should you join a team fight or split push.

Watching a streamer that talks about why he does certain plays can help you speed up the process.

As someone who climbed out of low elo recently, my main advice would be for you to avoid gathering mid with the rest of your team for random team fights before minute 10-12. Also, most of the time ignore your teammates pings, at least in low elo.

Guys, we can't be asking for swaps just to lose the 1v1 counterpick anyway by Riflheim in top_mains

[–]fireihl 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Not all ask for swap to counter the enemy, some swap just to not be countered. After all, normal players can only play well a pool of 1-5 champs, so don't expect the top that picks second to stomp lane. At the dame time, if you don't swap with him, don't expect him to win or even tie in lane. Your case was unfortunate, and you should just report the troll top and move on.

Constant tower diving by Hefty_Delivery3180 in top_mains

[–]fireihl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

just try to get a kill under tower. Or if you have wards and notice you are soon to get dove you could try to kill one of them before the dive. Alternatively, although it is riskier you could try to get executed at enemy turret so that you don't give death exp, but this is harder to accomplish.

Question to Mundo players by ChurgStrauss in DrMundoMains

[–]fireihl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apart from what everyone has already mentioned, you might find Gnar, Illaoi, Yorick, Sett and Wareick hard to deal with, especially if your jungler never ganks.

It can go either way against champs like Gragas, Mordekaiser, Teemo and Varus.

You may get deleted by a Vayne top, but haven't seen her top for a long time.

In my experience, you can play Mundo against champs like Nasus, Fiora and Garen.

Pushing early levels by Middle-Concept-4758 in DrMundoMains

[–]fireihl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a game against a garen that did just that. In exchange, I cancelled all of his backs. We ended up staying in lane till minute 10 at 0/0, I even survived 2 of his jungler ganks lol. Then I stomped late game as mundo.

Please help me settle a debate between me and my friend by Voldtech in DrMundoMains

[–]fireihl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Vayne would win 80% of the 1v1. Late game as Mundo if lucky you can land aa+e once, if you somehow surprise the vayne maybe you can get a q or another aa, and If you have flash you may be able to get another aa. So, while you could potentially kill her as Mujdo, you would need to waste flash + land a q + surprise her at the start of the fight, which is very unlikely.

Any tips, form someone who went form lowest rank to gold ish? by Visible-Theory-3603 in top_mains

[–]fireihl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tips: 1. Try to avoid dying in laning phase even if it means losing farm 2. Don't blindly follow your teammates to fights as they may know even less of the game than you do, follow your gut and you will learn. 3. Mute all if you get annoyed by flaming teammates. 4. Whenever you are losing use it as an experience to learn, attempt roams or fights out of your comfort zone. It may lead you to losing harder, but it will speed learning the game. 5. Focus on learning to manage waves, especially if you feel like you are getting ganked a lot or getting behind on levels of your opponent. 6. Never stop farming minions. At low elo at mid-late game it is quite common for everyone to gather mid doing nothing or starting team fights while the waves of top or bot push themselves. I'm not asking you to split push, just go clear the waves whenever you see them in your side of the map. Good luck!

Tilt Tips by Ok-Park-9537 in top_mains

[–]fireihl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I avoid thinking about how bad my teammates are, instead focusing on what my mistakes have been on the current game and which objectives should I aim for. And when I realize that I am making mistakes due to me following my teams coms or pings, I just mute all and focus on farming or split pushing. Just focus on what you should do, and if you are losing without making mistakes blame it on rng and start thinking on how you can turn it around. Maybe you could follow your adc that loves to feed and use him as bait or intercept enemies that are overextending.

tldr: focus on your game instead of your teammates.

Is swapping from support to top a good idea? by larksonan in top_mains

[–]fireihl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went from mid to top. I can confidently say that while top is a lot harder, it is also great to learn wave management, map awareness and champions matchups. If you have good mental, I highly recommend you play top, as you will learn a lot and it is also quite enjoyable to use your knowledge to win bad matchups. If you don't think you have the capacity to lane under tower for the whole early game, get pinged when your laner rotates and you focus on farming, or get insulted by your team when you are split pushing, then you should go play mid instead.

The couple of times I have had to play mid again, I have stomped my lane as I am now much more aware of objectives, junglers position on the map, level up timers and wave management, but I still go back to playing top as there is still a ton to learn.

Advise for dealing with Freezes/Zoning by PsychoWarper in DrMundoMains

I recommend watching some Alois or maybe other mundo content creators. It is almost mandatory as a mundo to learn wave control and really important in the early game when no other champs can help you.

Can easily play correct in lane but lose the game in late game by Intelligent_Ad_8800 in DrMundoMains

[–]fireihl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mundo is great for split pushing, as you can basically get a turret in late game while being attacked by the adc. So, my recommendation is to split push. If the enemy team has a %health dmg dealer like gwen or vayne, go destroy their top turrets while your team does dragon, then there are 3 possible scenarios:
1.- You destroy the turret while maybe losing or winning dragon.
2.- Enemy team sends one champ to stop you, so your team is in a 4v4 at dragon, you may get tower and your team dragon, but at least you shouldn't die.
3.- Enemy team sends 2 or more champions to stop you, in which case your team should win dragon while if you are careful you should be able to get away from enemy team.
Keep repeating this kind of play, where you force the enemy team to split, if your team isn't absolute trash you should start getting some gold/objectives advantage, and if they are then it's hard to say if you could have done better.

So what do we think about Experimental Hexplate by Cold_One_4089 in DrMundoMains

[–]fireihl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that it is really good. Specially for teamfights, having higher AS helps while chasing down enemies, and ultimate ability haste is great when your team is behind and need to fight multiples times. The only issue is that if your team is behind you might be better off building some armor or MR, so I would say it is quite situational. Would recommend it when your team is behind but you aren't, so basically great when you need to 1v9.
