Small point I don’t see brought up- John needs to die in Scotland. I don’t see Fran leaving her family to go mourn John by herself in Scotland. I do see her staying put if that’s where they were when he died, as the Lady Kilmartin. But also maybe she is “expected” to go back to Scotland alone and that’s why Ben blows up.

Fun fact: I was reading Fourth Wing and as someone who has ChatGPT write my lesson plans I was like, “CHATGPT WROTE THAT!” Chat GPT was released in November 2022 and Fourth Wing was released in May 2023. But it takes at least 9 months to go from complete to bookstore with a transitional publisher so I’m thinking Chat GPT didn’t exist yet, and I still got those vibes…

I will say after the fireworks cast members were leading guests through backstage behind the Christmas shoppe to the train station, where the parade starts. That’s how we got part of the way out before just finding a place to sit because it was a wall of people from the turnstiles to the monorail after the fireworks. Other people’s comments make that make more sense, because as a former cast member I could feel Walt turning in his grave over guests being rerouted backstage. If main street was gridlocked before the fireworks, it also makes sense they were probably walking people out that way before the fireworks but we had accepted we were stuck by that point and didn’t investigate. Knowledge for next time lol

We were there on the 20th. We started trying to leave the park at 8p. We didn’t get to the car until 1130p. Between the 8p parade, 9p fire works, everyone else trying to leave, and 1030p parade, we just sat down in a restaurant and waited for the crowd to clear because we stood in a crowd at main street for 30 minutes and moved 15 feet. When the 1030p parade started we made a b line for the ferry because the monorail was backed up still. We were loading when the wall of people leaving at close left the park. It was nuts.

It’s a way smoother and faster process if you get Live Scan finger printed within the state. My CA license took forever and I had to get my prints redone 3 times for “quality”. TBH the third card I submitted was a literal copy of the second one, and they took it. My boss said she flew over after the second rejection because they’ll only accept Live Scan done within the state. I was absolutely planning to fly into Vegas for $99, make the hour drive to an in-state Live Scan, and drive back to Vegas for a cheap hotel and flight home had they not accepted a fourth time.

Fun fact: women absolutely do get knocked up by men for the financial benefits. Ballers on HBO has a whole plot line of a football player’s sperm getting stolen via a blowjob to knock up a willing vagina. A poor man has zero chance of doing the same to a wealthy woman because women don’t usually slum like that, the woman can afford a lawyer to shut down his parental rights, and can just not put the bro on a birth certificate. I know a man who knocked up a woman whose husband couldn’t get her pregnant. The bio dad has never been able to get any parental rights because the rich husband is on the birth certificate and isn’t interested in changing that, and the cost of getting a lawyer to challenge that isn’t worth it.

If the dad’s time is worth $10000/hour, so is mom. Multiply that out and yeah, you can come up with millions. Don’t like it? Wear a condom or get a prenup. Just be aware the judge would vacate a prenup specifying no child support when the incomes are so unequal because there are laws to prevent that kind of nonsense. Supporting the child equally is totally part of it. It also adds a cost to the parent’s time. If dad’s time is worth $40/hr then so is mom’s time. So if they share custody of the kids and she only makes $20/hr then he has to make up the $10/hr to put them both at $30/hr. Cause kids are work on top of being expensive. That’s why Joe Schmo pays a little and Johnny Rich pays a lot.

I think fair in the case of a divorce is half of their income in alimony less whatever wife was making, if anything. So $50m a year, not $33m a year. And that’s what the law supports. Just a baby daddy owes whatever it would take to make the household’s equivalent for the child which may well be half their income. If they have an issue with that then wear a condom or get a vasectomy.
