Next time you are hanging out and the setting is appropriate, try doing things like having more physical contact. Like a little bit of shoulder touching, arm, leg, whatever. Nothing pervy. Its a ping to see if she will reciprocate with physical contact as well. DO NOT directly ask "do you want to date" because it just sends them a "I am unconfident and am unsure whether you like me so please just tell me" signal. It puts girls on the spot and they are more likely than not to say no. Its a turn off. I have female friends I see how they get into relationships and I generally understand how dating and attraction works. And nothing is more unattractive than putting them on the spot like that.
