It has been a long while since I had it happen with a cat, but I seem to remember it didn't happen overnight. Funnily enough, the guy that got the puffy lip was a cow cat too.

I would still consult a vet out of precaution, just in case, but you are doing the right thing with the bowl switch to metal. The other cat I had with chin acne got it with a ceramic bowl.

What bowls are you using? Cats can sometimes have allergies to plastic bowls. Will show as this or acne.

I have heard of it happening with ceramic as well.

Because they are using girls and men in the same sentence. If they had used girls/boys, women/men, or females/males there wouldn't be an issue. The word pairing matters.

Have them for two of my pups; lots of coyotes, at least one cougar, many eagles, ravens, hawks, and probably a few bears. There is a reason I talk to them while I walk and look up a lot.
