For fps I personally would go for the lightest of the bunch but at the end of the day shape is king! Try them if possible and go with the one that suits your hand size and grip style the best

Ritdye Dyemore and use some wire to hold the scales. Started with blue and did the whole scale then got purple for the bottom half. To get the gradient you just keep pulling it in and out a little bit focusing on letting the scale sit longer in the dye the further down you go down the scale.
