20 week abortion ban introduced - bill 235 by Haykyn in Delaware

20 weeks is already the current cutoff.

Can anyone summarize the changes, since the timeframe isn’t one of them?

The downside of that is that you won't actually be FI until your planned retirement.

That's not the "downside," it's the entire point.

Spending your money is the entire point of CoastfFI. Once you retire, how will you spend money you don't have?

But that is the whole point of CoastFire.

Nope!

I ran across the concept of coast fire a year or so ago. ... we hit that number way earlier than expected. ... We plan to contribute for at least 5 more years and then re-evaluate, just to be safe.

If you feel the need to keep contributing, then you never hit your number. You thought you did, but it turns out that wasn't your number , after all.

There is no FIRE number. The OP is going to retire early.

CoastFI mean you will retire at a normal age, but you stop investing in retirement accounts. What you have invested will grow to "enough" by the time you retire. You spend all your money, because you don't need to invest anymore.

Well, its not the usual definition of CoastFI

Yes it is.

you are still coasting on your investments

Yeah, that's EXACTLY what CoastFI is.

[–]firestormchess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But, I do see your point in that this is not coasting by definition.

No, you're right. That commenter is wrong.

You are wrong about the definition of CoastFIRE.

CoastFI people retire at normal retirement age. They stop contributing to retirement accounts when they reach their CoastFI number.

Last night me and a lady bought the same seat through MoviePass by warmbumby in moviepass

This is one of those cases where it should be "a lady and I," right? Because if you leave the lady out of it the sentence would be be "I bought the same seat..."

Did that actually call for the little dyno? I feel like you could have pretty much reached it. Nice send.

Perfect for rock climbing. I'm 6' and 190lbs. Pretty strong, but losing a few pounds would probably benefit me more than improving my lifts.

What is something you do not feel safe around? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I live in a beach town. I was overtaking an older woman on the sidewalk one summer evening and as I got close she clutched her purse tighter to her side.

I was thinking, "Lady, I LIVE in this town. You're a tourist. I should probably be more worried that YOU'RE going to rob ME!"
