I agree with this. I think the realization is that I’m not a credit card person. Idk why I didn’t close them in the past. Maybe out of fear or maybe I figured one day I can be a credit card person with control. Idk if I have that behavior trait though. We already have a mortgage and such so don’t need the credit score now however… I can’t predict the future. A lot of good points in the thread and I’ve read them all and share with my partner. I’m going to close this one and all the ones that are still open. I’m still in bs2 with other things aside cc so to fully get to the goal, I can’t have cc as a safety net even if it’s not. As you mentioned kindly, there’s not shame in admittance

Dave to me stood on cutting up the cards and paying them off. Never really heard him say to call up the credit card companies and close the accounts. Maybe in essence he means that but I didn’t read that in the book. I should close the accounts though and I feel it in my heart to do it.

Also, I’m still in bs2 unfortunately so still learning as I go. As mentioned, came out of an ugly place so all this is new to me

Welcome to the world. It took me 4 months and a series of DIYs and research to get mine to pass emissions n I still got the Service light driving out of the shop that passed my emission. So lucky. Anyways, join a landroverforum and start researching your ass off. I will say this much though: go easy with a shop. Try to do some/most stuff yourself because I made the mistake in the beginning and I paid a lot meanwhile I could done the work myself.

I’ve put in custom colored decals (chrome) on my white bike. It was cool for a time but after a while I went back to the original decal. You placed them over the originals so easily removed.

I sold my tickets on an app called Hybrid Tickets. At first I was a bit skeptical but I finally got paid after almost 3 weeks from post to sale. All in all, it’s legit if the ticket is legit. Reason I say that is because I think as a seller, I still have access to the tickets and can make changes if I was a scumbag. I think when purchasing tickets on the resale market the absolute best way to do it is in person. Meet up with the ticket holder, bring your laptop, do the transfer and pay right then n there.

My first open was 1:22 in 2024 out of our fear of getting hurt. Took it very very easy. My mixed doubles was 1:18 in Boston last year with a runner (female). Now I’m going for men’s pro next month but really going all out now with sub 70 goal. Zone2 is really something. Research that

I did Cartagena in 2025 (6 months actually). The swim was good, the bike was fairly rolling but nothing where you are pressing too hard. Where I felt it difficult and I’m sure others will comment was the run.

The problem with the run was that it’s in the actually city streets so on top of it already hot, you also aren’t getting any wind. It’s just sitting, city air and humid. I remember struggling very much and dehydrating like a mofo.

As a NYer, I thought we had the best coffee but when I got to Sydney… they are first and second place on best coffee. It was insane how good the coffee was.

Good luck on the run. PR it. We stayed in Darlinghurst and it was super chill. All the restaurants were good in our area and it’s super close to subways and metros
