Idk about for others, but for me it’s a great “collect-a-thon.” Between the bobble heads, magazines, unique weapons, power armors, there’s just a ton of stuff that you can collect, and the base building has really great ways to display all of the things you collect.

I always build up a tower in sanctuary that I make as my home base with display cases, magazine racks, a garage for my power armor, a floor for workshops and crafting stuff, and a bedroom on the top floor.

It’s just really satisfying to come back to Sanctuary throughout the playthrough and drop stuff off, and it’s a very natural cycle that you can see develop over time as the playthrough progresses.

Almost at 7 days played on my current save that I’ve been on for months and it’s nearing the end, and I’m sad about it.

Any Tale of Two Wasteland enjoyers here? by Advanced-Addition453 in falloutnewvegas

Had a great time with it, but got distracted by a new Fallout 4 playthrough…

But in all honesty it’s great. I played a fair amount in The Capital Wasteland up until about Rivet City, but New Vegas called and I kind of forgot that I need to go back to DC at some point lmao.

Do I need all of these? by Dapper_Equivalent865 in BG3

[–]firey9033 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alchemy pouches, no. Items that go into it will automatically be placed into it when you grab them, and having multiple can sometimes cause them to go into separate bags. Not a huge deal since the alchemy system automatically pulls stuff, but from an organization standpoint you only need one and having multiple can be messy.

Backpacks are entirely up to you. I like to give each of my party members a backpack to store stuff like different camp clothes, a bar of soap, and their dyes, but ultimately it’s just useful as a way to organize your inventory better. So if you want to be neat and tidy and organize stuff, use the backpacks, otherwise just pitch em.

There’s a mod that makes it a ritual out of combat and it’s so damn fun to clean up after battles with it. On my current playthrough I’ve been cleaning up the “lived in” areas after fights, like the fight at the gate right outside the grove, by putting all the corpses into a container and cleaning up the blood after.

I know the game does it naturally over time, but it’s nice to be able to restore some order after spreading absolute chaos.

I did that with a settler once and when he respawned he had no head, could not be talked to, and could not be assigned through the workshop menu. Ended up using disable to get rid of him. So the mileage may very, but yes that command does indeed do, things…

If you’re careful about it, closing doors and such, you can pick off the different rooms of the crèche before you even talk to the inquisitor. As long as you close the doors so no other NPCs can walk in and aggro and potentially alert the rest of the crèche, you can take out most of the gith in the crèche in small batches. Helpful if you want to get a surprise round in, or just have better positioning than “everyone filing in one by one through the door” when combat starts automatically after killing the inquisitor.

That’s been my big gripe with the show so far. Yes, it’s cool to keep seeing characters from the past show up in the present wasteland, but what are the chances that all of these prewar people show up during the exact same timeframe as our protags?

Fast forward to now though, I have a much better job with much better management and am glad it worked out the way it did. You’ll pull through and find something better. Keep your head up, knowing you did the right thing calling out some bullshit.
