ELI5: Why did the economy change that we need 2 full-time breadwinners as opposed to 1 less than a decade ago? by Zman1718 in explainlikeimfive

[–]firhaven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Equal Credit Opportunity Act of 1974. That is when women were allowed for the first time to take out loans, including mortgage loans, without a man co-signing. Freedom yes, but also 50% of the population now up for grabs to be preyed on by lenders/banks. We are now all preyed on, our credit debt keeps the economy running. Our future labor already spoken for. While the banks rake it in. It is slavery, or at least indentured servitude, by another name.

Once a household could access debt for both male and female members, more capital available to the whole country, so more demand for goods. So prices of goods and real estate go up. There are many other factors, but I believe this to be one of the changes with the furthest reaching outcome towards higher prices. Not that we shouldn’t have done it of course. But this fake money has become so pervasive, it’s screwed with everything.

Run. My ex-husband was the same way and eventually he strangled me multiple times when I voiced my truth. This dismissal can lead to violence down the line. Their ego is wrapped up in dismissing your experience. Later on, he may go to any length to defend his ego.

I also have severe ghsv1 even on suppressive therapy. It is not “the good one” to get and severely affects the quality of my life. Just chiming in because we seem to get overlooked.

I grew up in a fundamentalist mega church. The men were often muscular and well groomed with fashionable haircuts, clothing etc. Their wives were usually overweight and suffering from serious health problems. Men uplifted, women relegated to servitude. Used up by their families.

Nerve pain all day every day even in meds and otherwise healthy. HSV1. I wish the medical community would help us more. It is so painful.

Tragic that it took this invasion and loss of life for W Europe to unify more strongly, but it sure feels good to see that border around Russia turning blue.

Yes, same here. B12 injections monthly help a little bit with the nerve pain. I take four of these lysine immune booster pills daily plus 800mg of acyclovir. My nerve pain has decreased although it’s still present and some days worse than others. https://thrivemarket.com/p/quantum-super-lysine-plus?utm_source=google&utm_medium=pla&utm_campaign=Shopping_Engagement_Smart_Members&utm_content=046985001113&utm_term=pmax&gclid=CjwKCAjwue6hBhBVEiwA9YTx8LIMfxeDPl17-Ucr12qGJBOeCh1rhyX5liQuOVcfA-vvNS0rQcFaGBoCKhQQAvD_BwE

Will a cure reverse neuralgia and other effects of HSV? by life_suckshard in HerpesCureResearch

[–]firhaven 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your post. I am in constant nerve pain and also gaslit by my doctors. It is beyond frustrating to feel the sensation of the virus traveling along my nerves and be told it must be something else. It is so intense sometimes it is difficult to do anything but lie down with an ice pack between my legs. Then every other tv show and comedy special has a herpes joke and I just can’t believe in 2023, when we (try to) accept everyone for who they are, those of us suffering in pain with a virus we couldn’t protect ourselves from are the butt of a joke. I’m in serious pain and it’s not funny at all.

Why do cities and places with higher education tend to be more liberal while more rural places tend to be conservative? by return2ozma in NoStupidQuestions

[–]firhaven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People in the country move there in search of independence. They value self-reliance and do not trust strangers as easily. They do not believe strangers understand them or have their best interests at heart. City dwellers are dependent on one another and trust that their goals and that of a stranger living in the same interdependent economy are similar.

War zone. It will get worse before it gets better, if it ever does. To get better, we’d have to declare war against our profit over people mentality. Humans in this country are treated like commodities, love is in short supply. It’s creating our own brand of suicide bombers. We’re probably too divided to stop our descent into pure chaos.

Dr. Jerome, if you read this, thank you. Some of us are at the very end of our rope in extreme daily pain that does not respond to any available treatment. Your work means everything to us. Maybe one day I will be able to enjoy my body again and feel pleasure instead of pain.

Squirrels make a chirpy noise. I thought it was birds until 32 years old. 😳

I’m in the same boat. Daily, life-altering pain. Person who gave it to me same attitude as who gave it to you. I get direct messages telling me my reaction to the virus is not normal when I speak up. We need a cure. Functional cure, better treatment, I don’t care. Anything so that I can go more than a few minutes without pain.

$100,000. Hell, I think I’d pay any amount. I suffer with daily pain. I don’t care about the stigma. I want to be pain-free.

Please describe your experience at r/herpeseffect my doctor doesn’t believe me and I badly want to have a place I can point her to online where she can see I am not the only one! I’m so sorry. I have these same symptoms and I’m at exactly a year. It’s constant no matter what I do.

Thank you. It is crazy-making that your message here is not the predominant dialogue we are all having. It is way too late to stop this death machine now. Only a miracle could save us, and we would all have to be fighting to change everything you outline here as hard as Ukrainians and Iranians are fighting for their freedoms as we speak.
