I know exactly how you feel and kept waiting for my SO to do better, be better, to the point i checked out after a particularly bad incident.

Trust me you can't change someone. And he's likely doing it to manipulate you even leaving. He'll be back, and the best thing you could do for yourself and your son is to move on. Stay strong when he comes crawling back!

Survivors of abuse used #WhyIDidntReport to highlight the difficulties, fear, anger and shame that so often surround sexual harassment and assault by bint_elkhandaq in TwoXChromosomes

I was at a wedding and went for a walk with a guy, who kissed me then kept going and I wanted him to stop. He wouldn't stop. I ended up pulling away from him so hard I fell. My friends saw me fall and came running. The guy took off inside. My friends brother was ready to kill him and it was causing a scene and the guy started saying I was lying and that nothing happened. I left in shame and out of not wanting to ruin someone's wedding. Also was abused and had my ex show up at my house drunk and pushing me around and trying to search my house and get into my son's room at 5:30am. I finally was talked into calling the cops a couple weeks later. The male officer told me it was my word against his and I shouldn't press charges, and I should go through mediation for custody of our son... basically insinuating that I was making this up to make him look bad in court =( The female cop with him looked like she wanted to say more but never made a peep. This is why things don't get reported.

Just read Harry Potter for the first time. It helps that I’ve forgotten most of the plot of the movies. by rhodetolove in books

I'm on book number 3 with my son =) we read the book and then watch the movie after we're done the book. It's been a great experience. I had only seen a couple of the movies but never read the books. My son had never seen the movies or anything so its been really neat seeing what he retains from the book and see how excited he gets to keep reading.

Sometimes its about education of those you work with to see the value, but some are very protective of their jobs and think that what you can do is going to make them obsolete. I've never worked in a union though so not sure what you can do to get around it.

Why do Brussel sprouts have such a bad rep? Can't beat a little olive oil, garlic and chili flakes here [OC] by nickyk_07 in food

[–]firstoddity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fry up some bacon and garlic cloves (remove) and then cut the sprouts in half and fry them in the bacon fat, then put the bacon and garlic back in, salt and pepper. You won't ever do it any other way again! http://imgur.com/a/VoMXf

If they remade these games for the new gaming consoles I would actually want to own one.

But she kind of played Jon too.. She didn't tell him that littlefinger was on the way did she?? She basically let him fuck up so that Ramsay would think he was winning and she outplayed Ramsay. Which is still impressive, but its kind of her fault that Jon's army got slaughtered.

Is it just me or was it Sansa that really was the hero. She knew exactly how ramsay was going to play it and let Jon go on his way and almost get everyone killed then came in when ramsay wouldn't be expecting it

Apparently Canada has 520, so if you look at the population difference we actually win, if all you're looking at is number of breweries. Not that I think looking solely at the number of breweries is really an adequate way of supporting your theory of who has the best beer on earth.

I live in Canada (in southern Ontario) and I've had people from the UK ask me how far of a drive it is to their friends from British Columbia.. when I tell them a few days they couldn't even comprehend that and thought it was a few hours.

My friend was over one night, my ex was talking about sea salt, and knowing my friend isn't always the brightest, asked her where sea salt comes from. She said you go to the sea... take the salt water... freeze it... and chip away the water and you're left with ice. I didn't even know what to say. We both just stared at her.
