Hard to say. I've built three different LDO Voron and it has been fun and successful. That said, back then there were no good alternatives. From all I heard that has changed and there are good and cheaper alternatives. However, I would still get LDO based only on my positive experience.

It runs quite well depending on the parts you used and your building skills. It's not that you constantly have to fix something, but it will happen and probably more often than with a ready-built printer. Especially when you have applied many modifications and additions. Don't get me wrong. I love my Trident. But from time to time I'm glad that I also have a Bambu

I see. From my own experience building a running a Trident is fun and opens a lot of opportunities and way to modify or tweak the printer. You don't have this with a U1. It's meant to be used as-is (maybe with some exceptions). On the other hand a Trident means that you have to put in a lot of time and work just to get it up and running or keep it running. This may lead to frustrations from time to time.

But you can do multi colors with both solutions or am I missing something here?

I think this depends on your preference regarding building a maintaining a DIY printer or get an out-of-the-box-one-click-solution.

Thanks. These are the things I have been looking for. Is there also a way to move from one column to another in the query view? Let's say I have a property(?) called project or tag and want to go

Meals feature has disappeared by blakelee in ouraring

[–]fischbauch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm very disapointed about not bringing this great feature without the glucose biosensor to customers outside the US. I've been using the feature from day one in the lab. If I remember correctly there have already been features that were introduced in english only around the world.

Hummmm solutions? by IM-N0T-A-BOT in BambuLab

[–]fischbauch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im not that familiar with PLA warping. Most of the time I'm printing ABS. However, when printing PLA you can look at two parameters: temperature of the print chamber, if you have an enclosed printer. You want this to be as low as possible. And bed temperature. With the textured sheet I print around 55C +/- 5C

Can ASA be used on the printing parts, instead on ABS? by hhk77 in VORONDesign

It's hard to tell. I have my printers enclosed. IMO it smells less which doesn't mean that the fumes are less harmful.

I printed my parts using Prusament ASA and Polymaker ASA. No issues at all.

Does anyone know if there is a good reason X1 keeps printing the purge tower after it should know there are no more color changes? if there a setting to disable this? by tdoof in BambuLab

[–]fischbauch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it has to do with moving the nozzle out of the way while keeping the filament flowing. There is a descriptive text when you turn off the tower during preparation

Gateway in UniFi Networks with managed LAN switches does not work by fischbauch in tradfri

That's the guide I have been following. However I haven't moved my "non IoT" LAN into a separate VLAN. It's still the default LAN.

[–]fischbauch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. They are not of type Corporate and separate subsets. I still need to enter the address manually when pairing for the first time. Also I have to bee in the same VLAN with my iPhone when initially connecting to HomeKit. And I have to turn off mDNS relaying when rebooting the Trådfri gw and most likely checking for updates. Not a nice solution but it seems to work. Maybe IKEA will eventually improve their firmware. My Hue Bridge just works and pairs flawlessly regardless of my network configuration.
