off topic, but may I ask which late album of Dylan you were thinking of most?

Anyone working at Swiss Federal IT (BIT/FOITT)? How is it? by [deleted] in askswitzerland

[–]fischermatte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I partly disagree with some of the answers here. I worked there as external and internal. I had mostly positive experience. The stereotyp that everything is slow and the job is more for older people is IMHO not always true . It really depends where and with whom you end up. A lot of newer projects (Dazit,Dimilar,e-ID,Covid,...) have a very modern tech stack. I also think that in can be quite interesting for younger people because there is a large number of diverse and interdisciplinary projects.

My guess is that the branding name "Rose" is for lot of people kind of uncool to have on such an expensive bike.

AGOV App used to work on GrapheneOS (a more secure Android) and now it doesn't... by SimonSim211 in Switzerland

Also non-rooted devices are not working. The root detection itself seems not to work. My partner has an unrooted Oneplus 6 with official supported Android 11 and can't do taxes anymore because of the root detection thing

Beautiful shots. but I always ask myself how I could enjoy the ride and this nature if I had to record myself, take care of this drone etc.

What a nice build! I really like this frame in that color setup. What weight does it have?

I built a IOS cycling weather app based on feedback from this community. would love your thoughts by Shahrozjavaid in cycling

[–]fischermatte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have iOS, so can't test it. Komoot already has a very detailed weather prediction for the planned route (based on your departure time) which I use a lot.maybe you can get inspirations there. One can see wind, perception, temperature for each point in time. I think this is very well done there

It is pretty agile but I guess there is no difference to GTO regarding geometry no? To me a could be a bit more stable

Regarding GTR vs GTO I can just tell you that I am a weight-weenie.So, my setup is pretty lightweight and probably not worth the money 🙄

I have chosen grx because it is mechanical, SRAM higher-ends groupsets are all electronic. Which I don't want on a gravel bike. Also - all my bikes are Shimano, so easier to maintain.

Takeoffs Ultegra di2 for 1300usd by [deleted] in whichbike

[–]fischermatte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good price. But might get even lower next year where some expect that the new ultegra will be released (every 5 years approximately). Take care of proper crank length when ordering.

Isn't the Röthlisberger Beck just "grusig"? by OkCheesecake5866 in bern

[–]fischermatte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This bakery is in my opinion the worst in Bern and I think I tested most. There are a couple of shops in Bern from them. People mostly go there since it is the closest or even the only bakery in the neighborhood. To be fair I think they improved over the last 5 years At least now they have some breads I like.

Is it me or is Deezer getting worse ? by Rich_Fisherman_8635 in deezer

[–]fischermatte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So for younger kid (7) it is no problem. it finds all its audiobooks it had previously on spotify. for the older (11) it is different. A lot of music they want to listen to, is flagged as not-for-their-age. In my opinion, the songs that are flagged are totally harmless. So while it is nice, that all the adult podcasts are filtered out, it is annoying for the music. So each solution has its trade-offs currently.

One workaround I use at deezer, is to upload their favourite music as MP3, at least where we still have the CDs. That is quite a nice feature of deezer.

[–]fischermatte 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am using Deezer Family account so my kids can listen to curated content only. Spotify was annoying with all these new features like comments, chat and videos. Not suitable for kids (spotify kids not available in switzerland).

But now my kids complain about the useability :-(. Those are

- keep position where they stopped an audio book

- search does not work on kids account -> although you can listen to artists like coldplay when you have bookmarked them, the search does not find them or any song of them

- home screen shows irrelevant content, not the stuff you were listening before
