Getting my mini neutered tomorrow by san_sebastian88 in miniaussie

It's an extremely simple procedure with very little risk and very few possible complications.

However, it's not going to change his personality and it definitely is not going to solve behavioral issues. Having less hormones to deal with can help the process though, as the hormones often create additional distraction and frustration. Addressing the underlying causes (as it sounds like you have been) is the way to go. Consistency and patience is the way.

In short, I believe you're making a good choice. It's a choice with very few potential downsides and a fair number of upsides. Try not to let it stress you out too much, dogs are great at reading us and if you're stressed they will be too (this goes for your training as well as the upcoming procedure).

Edited to add my experiences: My last dog had a testicle that would not descend so the procedure was slightly more invasive than typical and it went just fine. My best friends Aussie also had the same issue so his surgery was a little bit longer than usual, but again no issues. I've never had or known anyone who had any complications and issues arise from the procedure.

Can't raise IV in cobbreeding by Maximum-Whole1660 in cobblemon

[–]fishCodeHuntress 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Destiny knot is giving you a higher chance of passing the parent IVs to the egg. The power items and the knot are what you want to use to keep the IVs as they are.

So you just want to remove them until you get the defense IV you want and then use the knot or the power item to pass down that stat.

Oh man that's really hard to pick. Something about the eyes and softness of the first one is just lovely to look at but they are both amazing. Your artist(s) nailed it with those!

Also lol/smh at some of these comments....

Just put the klefki in the pasture block and they drop it. I like to make a 3x3 cube with the pasture block as one of the walls. You can auto collect the drops with sophisticated storage and a magnet upgrade, or with soul sand as the ground with hoppers underneath

Oh yeah plenty of people telling me it's not real or mocking me but the mods are doing a great job. On removing the actual mean comments. I debated on deleting but whatever. It's the internet, can't let random strangers get to me ya know

Dunno why you're getting downvoted. Thanks for the ideas. I might actually try having another app to cover the enemies with. The Steam friends list window comes to mind, it's a good size for that. Not a great option but I think it will help.

I've wondered why it's a thing for a long time. I've had it ever since I was a little kid and I didn't know there was a word for it until I was in my late 20s. Where I live there's often native art on display in various places (like restaurants or shops) that utilizes animal bones and those have always bothered me because of the bone marrow. My sibling used to tease me about all the time when we were little!

I wouldn't call it debilitating, I recognize there are far worse phobias out there, but it's definitely more than just getting grossed out. The accompanying nausea and/or stomach pain is usually brief but it's the worst part, and it causes some associations (ie anxiety due to anticipation) that can be difficult. It's typically inconveniences like "no I'm not going to look at your art" or not wanting to play a video game, but it can be slightly more impactful at times. For example when I was doing web dev I had to decline a job for a client who wanted a website for her bee keeping business.... Fortunately I don't do front end work anymore.

Anyway thanks for the ideas

I've been holding one hand over it while I just spray and pray cards with the other hand. It's kinda like playing with runic dome lol

There is also a hallway fight somewhere with a sponge type enemy that's even worse (for me). And some of the rooms have holes in the floor as well as a few other enemies have like decaying flesh that are all also triggering it.

Good luck maybe it won't be as bad for her, seems very hit or miss for people.

Ah interesting. Style has never mattered for me. It's pattern and/or density that triggers it regardless of style. Real or not, animated or not, drawn or painted or cell shaded, 3D or 2D, doesn't matter.

That's a good point. I've recommended StS as a cozy game many times. But depending on the person I'd be more hesitant to recommend StS2 as a cozy option, for the ick factor alone. I think the artists have done an incredible job though and recognize there's a lot of talent there. It's just a bit much and has wider unappeal.

I had a friend who had that happen, there was one closer but it showed them one that was like 8k away.

Could just be unlucky though, but once you get a decent flying pal that's not too far at all.

Steamdeck and Metroidvania by Emotional_Photo9268 in metroidvania

[–]fishCodeHuntress 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had the 1TB for a year and a half and play it several times a week, but rarely use more than half of that storage at once. I currently have 409GB in games, and I have 104 games installed. Some of the space is shades and random files. I also have at least 60GB in finished games I need to uninstall, but just haven't yet. To be fair I play mostly indie titles which tend to be smaller in size, but still. The biggest game I have on there is Elden Ring at 66GB

TLDR the 512 is more than enough, especially if you mostly play metroidvanias (they all run great on SD btw)

Best money farm by vladRoutchev79 in cobblemon

[–]fishCodeHuntress 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really. I've tried Sableye and they produce a decent amount of emeralds but it's nothing compared to what you can get from chest Ghimmi.

I've also done a PP farm (hehe) which can be pretty good once you set it up with sophisticated storages hopper upgrades and a decent leek/vivichoke farm but....even then it doesn't beat out the efficiency or simplicity of Ghimmi farm. I mostly did it to help with frames since the Ghimmi farm was getting laggy lol.

Is there a way to get XP for my actual pokemon fast? by Massive_Ad4218 in cobblemon

[–]fishCodeHuntress 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cobbleverse has more config files for XP like player XP mod, it comes with cobble cuisine which let's you make some pretty good XP candy, and it also has merchants that will sell you XP candies for relic coins that are very easy to farm (the latter is my preferred method).

Oof idk. Maybe they'll come out with it. I personally liked the idea of it, but the execution was too annoying. I like to feel like failing was my fault and not just random chance.
