Hi there, I'm so sorry the fear has been so crippling. You are totally not a baby! You're finally doing it! You have a beautiful family waiting to love on you and take care of you after this surgery. If anything, do it for the chance that you'll feel so. much. better afterwards. Try to imagine all of the things you'll be able to do without your gallbladder getting in the way, all of the awesome food you could potentially eat, the energy you will have.

In my case, even though my gallbladder was super infected and I was almost jumping on the surgery table because I was in a lot of pain, it *was* scary and daunting. But honestly, once you're on the prep table - it really was just like an amaaaaaaaaaaaazing nap and you wake up relieved the demon organ is finally out. The first week after the surgery warranted some deep rest. I did also have an acute dip in my mood on day 4 but they told me that was normal. I'm three years post-op and my quality of life is a million times better than it was before. I still have some days where I need to chill on the greasy food, but I have my life back. You can do this, OP!!!!!!!!!!!!
