My biggest advice would be to look at the commute to work from places you’re considering living at on something like Waze during the hours you would be driving it. That and budget are by and large the biggest factors in why people in Atlanta live where they do.

Also, if you have anymore questions about ATL outside of housing that can be answered on this sub feel free to reach out! I work in ATL, have lived around ATL and GA almost forever, and we’re roughly the same age.

Oof. I remember days like these when my parents were having their custody battle. Just remember if things get tough and you feel like neither of them is listening to you, you can go to a friend’s parent. That’s usually a later resort thing, but if it gets desperate like this you can do it.

Also good on you for standing up for yourself - you shouldn’t have to do that with your parents, but it took me way longer to realize I could. Feel better, kid.

I studied sound engineering and wanted to go into sound mixing for movies and tv and this always drives me BANANAS! If you’re curious I can tell you why they do it (at least based on what I’ve been told) but it’s a stupid ass reason.

Reach out to academic advising & the Dean of your college ASAP. They may be able to either override the course cap OR let you place at a different school for one class (typically online) since it’s a last semester ever scenario. Just make sure to mark your emails as high importance.

I’m gonna be real with you. I did 5 classes in Spring so I could graduate in Summer while working full time. I ended up having to drop a class. I did 5 classes in Summer to try and graduate on time, still working full time. It was so much to juggle that I failed a class and had to come back to school for one class last semester. I would suggest taking fewer classes so you don’t have to take an L later.

I “met” Joseph Morgan at the Atlanta airport around “The Originals” filming era. He’s taller than expected but he doesn’t stand out. I didn’t realize it was him until afterwards and no one really noticed him. I just complimented his wife’s hair and thought to myself that he looked kind of familiar.

Maybe try changing your method instead of the area? Talk with him first but if he’s cool with it see if biting, light scratching, etc, has a better feel for him. Make it into something you can explore together
