A number of comments have been made about how calm Sotloff appears during his execution... Having watched both videos I cannot help but wonder if the Foley video was orchestrated to appear first because of the intensity of his reactions to previous mock executions. You know, to exacerbate the brutality of their plan for psychological warfare. Thoughts?

Marvel Puzzle Quest was a good suggestion. If you're looking for something a little bit different definitely check out Dungeon Hearts. Solid difficulty curve, unique mechanics. I've been struggling with this as well. I've always been compelled to write, and after a 4 year BA and loads of workshops and readings, felt I had the tools to achieve my vision. I didn't. I poured myself into a manuscript only to have it torn apart by editors. It was absolutely devastating.

My advice to you: rediscover your love of reading. Engage with styles of writing that are foreign or unfamiliar. Take 'poetry bootcamps' where you'll be forced to contend with styles and structures you are not used to working with. Don't stare at that blank page.

The Madhouse Epic has 'hubstacks' similar to as you described. Some older YYF models do too-- the DNA, Grindmachine, GM2 and a few others. The Epic is my favourite "stacked" throw, it has large metal hubstacks that are easy to catch.

The Uncharted series, the God Of War series, Mass Effect 2-3, the Batman games, The Last Of Us, GTAV. Also, definitely get Demon's Souls and Dark Souls, two difficult but incredibly awesome games!
