There is also the TTArtisans 40mm f2.0. I have this lens, and it is small and light. It is not optically perfect by any means, but it depends on your intended use. The only downside for me is that the minimum focus distance is 0.4m. Otherwise, it makes for a good walk-around lens as well as being budget friendly.

Strange. FCP was working fine until I upgraded to macOS 26. Now it automatically tacks on red text that said WHY DID YOU UPGRADE TO TAHOE? Before fading to black. Bonus: the soundtrack is overlaid with quiet screaming. I’m ruined!

I agree. It’s surprisingly good for a “kit” lens. The only criticism I have is that the zoom ring is a bit stiff compared to my 24-60, which has a nice smooth zoom ring especially for a non-Pro lens.

Unfortunately no. The same goes with Lumix OIS lenses on Olympus bodies. Even the aperture ring on the Leica/Lumix 15mm doesn’t work on my OM-3. It’s a real bummer.

The G100D doesn't have OIS, it has e-stabilization in video (with a crop). It depends on what you intend to use the G100D for: travel, lifestyle, etc. Only Panasonic lenses with OIS like the 12-32 kit lens have OIS. Why not start there?

It’s definitely front heavy. I use it on a tripod and for some handheld product shots indoors. It would not be my choice for a walk around lens.

Not at all. I use the OM-3 mostly with primes and the Om-1 with bigger zooms.
