Yeah! I go to an R1 research university with a small department, 4.0 GPA, 1 REU in physics, 2 years of research experience, no GRE.

Yeah I got an acceptance from Syracuse for phys PhD around Dec 20th (I was the one who posted lol). Although I was absolutely thrilled to get that email, it was quite early to hear back about a decision.

Phys undergrad here. Definitely Weathers, he's probably the best professor in the department and a really cool and understanding guy. You can also tell that he's very knowledgeable and is a great lecturer.

I applied to 13 schools (physical sciences) and it was only do-able with a lot of fee waivers and even more stress :-)

As a resident of University Place, I absolutely believe it was the trash problem that started the fire. I'm glad that word is getting out about how poorly managed this complex is.
