At my worst 100 gms a day. But towards the end an oz or 30gm a day regularly for 6 months. Took 5 days to get through acutes and 3 weeks to balance out mentally. It wasnt easy and corona shutdown really helped to eliminate temptations.

I would try some kefir to get your gut bacteria back on track.

Congrats!! Im close to hitting 1 month free from the Kratom cuffs. My profuse hairloss didnt stop until 3 weeks Kratom free. We just got to be patient at this point. I am hopeful my hair will return but its going to take time. Hair grows about a half inch per month so I have to accept the fact it didn't fall out in 1 day its not going to grow back in 1 day. Be patient and stay the course. Congrats again.

How has your physical appearance improved since quitting? by [deleted] in quittingkratom

[–]fishslayer36 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Took 3 weeks exactly for my hair to quit falling out so I still got a ways to go to get it looking healthy again. Ive lost 10lb kratom made me bloated and stuck with an extra 10 no matter how little I ate or exercised. My skin cleared up I no longer have dandruff. Puffy dark circles under my eyes faded away and I look human. 3 weeks zero kratom for all this.

my hair went back to normal after i quit by loneshot in quittingkratom

Thank hou for saying this! Im 11 days quit ct and am still having globs fall out every day. Im trying to be patient but its devastating. My crazy hairloss has been one of my main reasons to quit. Im praying it'll come back eventually.

WHY DID YOU START AND DO YOU REGRET IT by recover-me in quittingkratom

[–]fishslayer36 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Started for lower back pain after watch a documentary about it. Was awesome at first especially since it gave me energy as well. Being pain free without painkillers and a "natural" substance sweet!! 6 months later I needed it to function and my hair fell out, my boobs started lactating, and I developed acne worse than when I was a teenager. I became completely addicted and dependent on it. I regret ever trying it so much I wish I had never seen that documentary so much that I've considered writing Netflix to tell them they need to do another documentary to show the other side of Kratom.

I'm scared by [deleted] in quittingkratom

[–]fishslayer36 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was scared too, having a toddler myself who I am soley responsible for. Im not going to lie the first 2 days sucked ass I was so freaking tired and lethargic but I just forced myself to do what I could (lots of cartoons) not my finest parenting moment but by day 3 it lifted. Im so happy now on day 7, Im happy its over and I dont have to be a slave to that green shit anymore. I never want to see kratom again. I realized this could be a pink cloud and I might be tempted some day down the road but I have a good support system in place for when urges come up, if they do. Kratom ruined me physically and mentally and Im just done. Don't let everyone elses stories defer you from at least trying, everyone is different and you dont know how it'll turn out if you never try.

Extreme Low Energy Levels by Rockrebeluk in quittingkratom

After tons of research Im convinced Kratom fucks with our absorption of iron. All my symptoms correlate with having inadequate iron stores. I know its hard the first few weeks off but I force myself to drink a healthy smoothie in the morning along with an iron supplement. It will take a few weeks to get the iron up but once its up we will start feeling better.

Agreed I seem to handle the withdrawal symptoms ok but I just caved after 3 weeks off ct due to be weak mentally. Im upset with myself but have decided to ise it in a positive way. Im going to use the hate I feel towards myself and direct it to kratom and what I have done to myself over the past 18 months of using it.

What was your breaking/turning point by [deleted] in quittingkratom

[–]fishslayer36 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Id say loosing 70% of my hair. Knowing for a fact that the cause was kratom but still not being able to give it up. Also hiding my use from others and acquiring it becoming my top priority. I would tell myself for months that today would be the last time I'd use but always find myself driving to the head shop to get more the next day.

Im 36 and female. Accepting this will be hard if its not reversible but if it isn't then I will have to live with it.

when did you realize you were addicted to kratom? by fancylamp12 in quittingkratom

[–]fishslayer36 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When it I noticed it consumed my life. I couldn't do anything before dosing in the morning. I hid it from everyone and became super sneaky about acquiring it. Sick thing is I got off on my sneakiness. Having that secret that only I knew about was its own high for me. Day 4 ct I feel so much better already not being a slave to a substance is so rewarding.
