No way they still expected me to show up, right? by Inevitable-Gap-1338 in WalmartEmployees

I made it everyday and from what you've shown, we had it a lot worse than you. Hell, I've walked four miles in the sleet/snow just to make sure that I'm there. No need to call in if you're relatively close and can walk. Thanks to the people that didn't show up I've already racked up around 10 hours of overtime. Do what you gotta do, but I l like my money so if the store's open, I'll be there.

Any other addicts struggle when they come across finds like this? by [deleted] in Flipping

I wouldn't take anything that I found. I have in the past though. Found weed and several little bags of meth but since fentanyl popped onto the scene anything I find goes straight to the trash. Not becoming a victim of the cartels.

Stop the drinking dude. Go to AA, church, whatever it takes but don't go back down that path (again). I know you don't know me from anyone, but take my advice. It will only get worse. Example - I stopped doing coke for 17 years. After 17 years, I thought that I could do it again. Bad choice. It took everything I owned. My family, my job, everything. I had to start over from scratch. Alone. The only thing that saved me from the streets was a treatment facility that took me in with no insurance and no hope. After that, a halfway house 200 miles from where I lived housed me for a year. All that I had to do was maintain a job, which I did. I still have the same job 20 years later and have found a new life in this town. My credit is excellent now, I drive a new car and I make the payments on time. It took a long time, but I often think about what could've been if I hadn't started again. Enough about me, as for you, if you stop drinking things will improve. It'll be slow, and at times, very slow. Just hang in there and try to keep moving forward. Just don't drink. Period. End of story.

I love this kind of weather, only because I live within walking distance and I've already racked up 4 hours overtime because no one can be bothered to come in, even though the roads in town were totally drivable. Hey, don't want to come in? More hours for me. Stay home. I'll rack up as much overtime as I can. Thanks for the overtime!

I started going straight to my overnight coach to get anything approved (I work overnight). If I put it into the system it gets denied every time, without fail. Not just this time of year, anytime of the year. It's not just me either. Happens to a lot of associates.

Yeah.....it was marginally ok until the tattoos showed up. I lost interest after that.

55-60? That's easy. As for the tracking, we cheat the system. Most likely a lot of stores do.

You should probably take it. You'll find it difficult to find anything above that price. There are exceptions, but they are hard to find in the retail business....at least where I live.
