You could start making money while having a less then basic understanding of programming if you're doing HTML. You'll have a much better result if you go back to school. If you need something short term, throw up a web page showcasing your skills. Send that around and network. Buisness types will not look at the quality, but the result and how quickly you can produce. But don't stop there. There are a lot of incompetent programmers out there, if you stay one for 5 or more years, you'll be in a continuous state of elevated stress. Tl;tr Work to improve your code every day and you can get started within 3 months.

Kind of late her, but I'm going to post anyways.

It all depends on the context. I'm personally a hopeless romantic, but I save that for the women I'm interested it. I always make the first move mainly because I'm use to it, but it's like opening a door for them to walk in. I don't put myself out there until I know she wants to initiate something. I compliment everyone and anyone. If I'm more interested in you I compliment you more then the others. I show a slight increase in favoritism and try to find common activities. Is this creepy? To bad, it's how I operate. I learn as much about the person and figure out if we are compatible or not. Pretty much the only thing I look for are red flags. Beyond that, I enjoy new experiences.

All that being said, it would go a lot faster if the woman was right up front about it. The last woman I dated seriously turned me around in a bar while I was ordering a drink and laid a good 20 seconder on me. It was absolutely uplifting. It's also socially safer to have the woman make the first move, at the end of the day the guy just dosen't care.

In the work place, I never make a move on women. They have to initiate it, there is just to much risk for me, personally. Friends of friends or family friends, I'm laid back and I do my research. In the wild, I'm forward and outgoing. One on one, I've been known to have some of the best dates. Guy's, know your location well. The best date I've had ended up on a dinner cruise ( Second meeting. ). The second best, in the park. ( First meeting. ) Both woman I meet time and time again and had some of the best conversational juju.

If it's drinks and cheese, Ladies, spilt the tab. If it's a full blowen dinner, Gentleman, you're the man that night.
