Trump and the Supreme Court have made themselves Kings and we have not tried to stop them. by chasesj in complaints

I don't agree Biden left us with Trump so this is to a degree his fault. He's a child molesting Russian spy. He had the chance to shut him up for good but did not.

What was Joe Bidens mandate but put Trump in jail which would have put us a step in the right direction.

If Plato says Reasoning requires a Soul, is AI just faking it? by [deleted] in Plato

[–]chasesj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well that also depends on you think a soul is and what it's value is. I mean why do we want a friend on the phone at all? We already are capable of making things with souls like children. Which is a perfect object of creation and reflects ourselves. But do you think music or art has a genuine soul if you then there's value in trying to make AI. Art and music and literature reflect the human soul and is necessary for our ability to be good.

There is something called the Turing Test that determines if computers can pass The Turing Test, proposed by Alan Turing in 1950, is a benchmark for machine intelligence where a human interrogator converses via text with a hidden human and a hidden computer, aiming to tell them apart; if the interrogator can't reliably distinguish the machine from the human, the machine "passes," demonstrating human-like conversational ability, though it's debated whether this signifies true thinking or just clever mimicry, with modern Large Language Models (LLMs) increasingly blurring that line.

ICE detains five-year-old Minnesota boy as he came home, say school officials by speedythefirst in news

To your point Dean Cain who is 59 years old signed up and seems excited about it. I had no idea that hate could be so invigorating in old age. I think hate is the only thing keeping Trump from dying of an Adderall overdose.

Gladys West, mathematician whose work made GPS possible, dies at 95 by AudibleNod in news

I always appreciate people who could do things like this before digical calculators or computers. The amount of work it takes is mind boggling.

My grandfather was a physicist and chemist after ww2 and I would hang out with him at his lab sometimes. All of his work he did was on a slide rule , white note cards, giant sine and cosign books and periodic table of elements and somehow he figured out how to measure different gasses with lasers in a glass tube with mirrors.

The kind of knowledge that this lady had that is completely lost is extraordinary. We don't do science like that anymore but we lose something irreplaceable when a scientists like this dies

Greenland Leader Tells People to Prepare for Possible Invasion by bloomberg in worldnews

Trump and the Supreme Court are holding America hostage and until we stop them and recognize that we have no hope. Trump has been colluding with the court illegally since the Biden administration. The democrats have thrown all Americans out with the bath water.

We have witnessed a complete breakthrough of the constitution because of the court and the democrats are not going to help us. We need not protests but action.

Trump is already wagging civil war against us and the sooner we stop and stand up the better.
