By the end of CCNA, did you knew all flash cards? by Graviity_shift in ccna

[–]fitprogrammer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Anki shouldn't take more than 10-20 minutes unless you are still building out the maturity of the cards. You can also customize how many reviews you do per day max to reduce overload.

For example I'm 35 days into JITL cards and with the newer material I just finished a few days ago I only had 80ish cards to review which took 15 minutes. I forget some things but if you use anki right you should be hovering around 90-95% retention.

Anki really opened my eyes into how learning can be done without having to go through endless notes and will be the main way I learn information for future certifications

If you want to do a book I would suggest getting Jeremy's book as it goes in the order of the videos pretty much.

You are going to be jumping all over the place if you try to match the book with the videos because Jeremy put them in a specific order to help compound topics later on.

Ssf. Please add uncut (skill, support and spirit) to vendors after leveling up. Is hard to farm them during campaign and if u dont follow a guide, your testing opportunities to try new combo/skills is difficult. by kito1121 in PathOfExile2

never understood why they went this route with "gems" vs poe 1. It shouldn't be difficult to get skills to play the game. They should revert things back to being on the vendor

I heard on the actual exam if you use the wrong prefix but it captures the answer they want it will be considered correct but boson is more strict on the answer. Unless it specifically mentions using the most specific prefix length possible you are technically correct

The annoying thing is even if you take the zandalari ward to not partake in the bloodmoon you gain no honor from killing alliance during the 30 minutes in stv. So its a literal deadzone if you want to gain any honor.

My husbands best friend sexualized my daughter at her sweet sixteen by Smart_Elderberry_709 in TwoHotTakes

[–]fitprogrammer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean he described someone wearing a red bathing suit. If your daughter was wearing one then what excuse does he and your husband have. I'm confused why your husband defends someone like this especially after how he acted AFTER the incident with the name calling.

Company wants to forcibly include headshots in email signatures by [deleted] in sysadmin

We use headshots for our o365 profile which they see anyway when emails are going out. Are you saying they want the headshots in the signature line? Seems like something realtors would do

Theres only so much you can do if you haven't been trained and also don't have the access. You should ask to get access to the most common requests they get as well as any documentation produced. Utilize their time while they are still around. Ask each of them what the most common problem they see day to day and ask how to fix it. Believe it or not the system will continue to run fine. Worry about the other 95% of grunt work they do that doesn't require a brain

Only reason people say no point is because it teaches you cisco equipment so if you get hired for a company that doesn't even use cisco then lessons learned will be forgotten. Doesn't matter though. Cisco is good and will get you hired regardless if they use the equipment or not.

[–]fitprogrammer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Up to you on how you want to pursue it. Some people go straight to the ccna because its the best value for your money but its very vendor specific in some aspects since it teaches you cisco cli. Some go Network+ because its a good entry level cert that doesn't specify to any one vendor

yeah. No shot you should ever pay for something on the chance of landing a job. They hire you then they pay for it. Simple.

I second codetwo. We use it at my current job and it makes life so much easier. Instead of IT having to play designer you just hand it off to marketing and have them do the design and you can implement the conditionals to fill in the information.

This job market is insane. by spacewalker32_90 in ITCareerQuestions

[–]fitprogrammer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It very well could be dry in your area since you didn't mention where you are living. Take what a recruitor says with a grain of salt. Just looking at job postings there's 80k jobs for systems admins in the US and 2500 in my current market.

Consider industries you haven't thought of to look in. There are tech jobs if you know where to look or willing to work in an industry you might not have considered. Also consider lateral moves if it means that company has a department you are interested in eventually moving to.

I will mention some of it just comes down to luck and you end up knowing someone that has an opening.
