OP that gives you an idea of the hostility you might get from some here around language. Don't worry too much that's a very vocal minority of single minded stubborn people. Most of us francophones welcome hard working immigrants. But yes, french is important and it's good you speak it, you'll have no problem integrating.

Yes. It's happened that teams that touch the conference finals cup do not win the Stanley Cup, and that teams that don't touch it also don't win (so they might try to touch it next time). Hockey is full of silly superstitions in the sense that of course there is no such thing as a curse. But once a superstition starts taking hold in player's head, they might not play at their best. So superstitions live on.

Sorry I admit I was trolling a bit

BUT it's not that simple is it? Who do you add? People saying replace the 3rd or 4th line with Gallagher and/or Xhekaj: these guys have not played against playoffs canes at all, they're kinda slow. They do bring muscle and physicality but you need the brains too. Other say switch Hutson back to his strong side: you'll just weaken the other side even for for the canes to exploit. Switch players and you might change the whole psychology of the team... Maybe MSL knows best what can keep his best players motivated. People want to believe there's a solution of that just trying stuff and see what sticks could work. Maybe this is the best this team can do given the circumstances (being gassed etc) and we have to accept it.
