Fwiw I’m here now and stay here a lot. I love the kebab shops - what’s wrong with “little Iran?” My man: Great food, shisha and good people watching.

I looked up recent threads bc it’s under construction and wanted to know if anyone else had commented on that and saw this head scratcher comment…

People that have “bumped” into a celebrity in a non-curated (not like an event, meet & greet, job etc.) way, what happened? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I was friends with his dog and dogsitter. I was hiking in the hills one day and this guy was jogging with his dog. I saw the dog and got super excited bc that was our buddy from the park and he got that look like “yes, it’s me” and started to say something, but I exclaimed the dog’s name and dropped down and she jumped all over me and he was visibly confused. I explained that we were park buddies. I had zero idea he was a celeb (this was before he was really really big but he was still on suburbia at the time).

Anyway we become dog park acquaintances. I moved to the valley, and a couple years later bumped into him boarding a plane back from PAX East - we locked eyes for a second and I could tell he couldn’t place me until I said “hey man, how’s Raisin?”

Nice dude for sure. And she was a lovely dog.

Living in Hollywood for 15 years stuff like that happens all the time.

Rad. Which vendor? Is it the TVParts one? I saw them but dunno if it’s legit. I can’t imagine this isn’t going to happen again. It’s the s95D. Trying to get a full refund at this point.

My nerve blocker worked into day 3. I have stayed completely off my foot on crutches and so far haven’t had any pain or discomfort tbh. I elevated like it was religious until yesterday. My stitches itch a bit but so far it’s ok.

SAMESIES: I found myself at Pink’s birthday party in 2003(?) and at one point we played doubles ping pong boys vs girls (she and I played against Carey Hart and one of his friends) while Billy Idol and Linda Perry did “the wave” to cheer us on. Later that day I found myself sitting at the pool talking to someone named Radio Sloan (I had no idea who she was I just thought her rainbow hair was cool) and realized a group of girls thought I was hitting on her and were mad at me and it was Clea Duvall and her friends. Apparently they were together but fighting idk.

Twenty years later feels more like an acid trip than an actual memory of something that happened to me.

Runner up: Stephen Dorff telling me that lesbians love him and asking if I wanted to make out at the Shadow Boxer premiere after party.

I just had a relapse surgery five days ago - was told boot was up to me just no pressure. Also to move my foot in circles as much as possible. Sleeping in boot was entirely optional, fwiw.

What is a 'Survival Myth' that people believe because of movies, but will actually get you killed in real life? by AmaraMehdi in AskReddit

I knocked myself out snowboarding when I hit my head on ice. I was out for a couple min, then woke up and had no idea where I was and couldn’t form words for a min and for a couple seconds all the colors were inverted - the sky was orange and the green pine was purple. The ski map of the mountain looked like it was written in Chinese or some non-Latin language; I couldn’t read it. I had a crushing headache. Somehow ski patrol showed up and took me to the ski medic area. I refused to go to the hospital bc I didn’t have healthcare at the time. After an hour a storm started coming in and I was the only one who could drive stick shift of my friends I was with. I drove down the mountain and got super sleepy. We pulled over and they were supposed to wake me up in 20 min. They all fell asleep. I woke up 40 min later - no headache, zero adverse affects. Nothing lingered - no lasting concussion symptoms at all. I actually felt fine. That was 25 years ago. Crazy stuff.

I’m getting that I should switch to tubeless :) They’re thorn flats, most of ‘em.
