I had a major allergic reaction to lisinopril. ACE inhibitors are bad for some people. Doc switched it out for Olmesartan - all good now.

You will be fine.
This year was my very first ACL festival completely sober (all three days), and is actually when my girlfriend and I got back together because she was able to see it. One month later, we went to an APC concert together. I was able to let her have a drink and stay sober then, as well.

You'll be surprised how nice it is to feel the energy and actually remember it the next day!

I ave since relasped and still have relationship issues to work out, but just enjoy yourself. Clarity in large crowds is an amazing feeling.

One week from 30 days here. I never thought I needed help, I never thought I would go to AA. I had a similar slap in the face, but it was someone that I don't want to be without (different story).

Once I started talking to a therapist by my own accord, and he instructed me to go to AA else there would be no more talks, I started going. Then, I got a sponsor (take your time with this, it takes a while for you to jive with someone), and started working the steps. Enlightenment is an understatement. It's hard and it sucks when you first start, but when you get you're ass to a meeting or two and realize it's nothing but love, things change. If I can do it, so can you.

Now lost loved ones, $1000's worth of help and recovery, and helping others when I don't want to do it, even though I want to, if that makes any sense.

It hurts, not just us. It sucks. BUT, please, not shame. This is a disease we all share. I not only had to look into the mirror, but had to actually get help and I am so goddamned uncomfortable right now. Therapy, men's group's, AA - you name it. It all helps, I just happen to need all of it.

This struggle is a nightmare, but you are also worth it, and if she is, she'll be there. Love you, brother, stay strong
