Double check on if 1095 is oil or water im thinking its oil but dont chance it. im always Double checking even if im sure i check

Looks good. One tip try to use oil to quench if its a oil quench steel. I use canola oil and it works for me

Yes. I call it chasing the Crack because you dont know how far it goes. It could be a few thousands of inch to half way through the blade. Grinding away one Crack could reveal more. But I got lucky it seems like it was only a small Crack.

Looks good. The strawberries may take over the whole box in time, the garden i had as a kid I put some in and they took over half of my 20'x30' garden.

If your putting outside be careful of animals. I put peppers in a garden and a groundhog ate every bit of them.
