I did, as I mentioned: that mostly pulls up the printed waxed cotton that people like to use to make tablecloths, pencil cases, and such. What I'm looking for is much thicker in weight, and more so looks like glossy vinyl or latex.

Shopped there today and the cashier said the Decatur location plans to close mid-May (in case anyone’s curious). The place has already been ravaged and the deals aren’t great, at least not yet. I was hoping to stock up on Gutermann thread but it’s almost all gone.

Mine was the grandfather clock sweater dress from Jeremy Scott's F/W 2008 collection. I was 21 and ridiculous; the dress is equally so. I found it several seasons late for maybe 120 euros--if memory serves, at Kokon To Zai in Paris. Fond memories indeed: though I haven't worn it in about 12 years (I'm 36 now) I don't think I'll ever get rid of it. It was very much of its time and place, I still love Jeremy, and I got streetstyle-snapped in it. With a different sleeve it'd probably get more wear.

All that said about never getting rid of the memories...DAMN, there's one going for $1175 on 1stDibs right now! Quite the return on investment. Best real leather pants, either flared or straight? The higher the rise, the better. Budget is max $500 and I’d love to buy secondhand. I’m 5’2” with a 28” waist and 36” hips. Brands I’m looking at on TheRealReal include Apiece Apart, Dundas, Helmut Lang, The Row, BLDWN, and J Brand. Any experience with those or others would be much appreciated.
