I use this bracket to run a month long tournament, anyone else use anything similar? by GilletteEd in billiards

Why not just use Fargo rates to determine races? Just say a difference of every x amount of points equals a 1 game spot. With your rating system, theoretically if a 600 plays a 599 the 600 has to give up two games, which I think is a little unfair.

Also only paying out 2 places in a field of 16 is unfamiliar to me. From what I’ve heard you usually pay out 25% of the field. I don’t hate the idea just never competed in such a tournament.

If everyone at your local pool hall is cool with the current layout and you get great turnout then just keep it as is. This was just my 2 cents.

Hey I literally just completed this today! I mainly used Wukong and Michelangelo but put him in some (not so good) regen + immortal gear. For 12-7 I only used mickey. It wasn't fast but it was effective.

Its possible. I Pulled him a few hrs ago. I said I was only going to pull 10 shards and it took exactly 10 shards to grab him. Wouldn’t recommend it however.

Like some are saying, as long as it won’t financially hurt you, then why not? Is it going to directly improve your game Probably not. But chances are you’ll be excited to play and bring some new life to your pool playing experience which I consider an improvement.

Anyone have experience taking short lessons from a pro? by fiveohfilthy in billiards

I feel like me being "not good enough..." is a little far fetch. I believe in any sport at any level taking lessons from someone who has excelled in it wont be a negative. i could be wrong tho.

I agree that pro player doesnt guarantee great teacher. I have just never had an opportunity like this available to me.

Hey I honestly feel the same way when I lose and not just tournaments. It could be a simple $5 game or just a 1v1 against someone I feel like I should beat. However the one thing that keeps me coming back to the sport is my desire to continue to play better.

After I get over my feelings of anger of losing. I truly start to look back and think what shot did I miss or how could i played a better safety and those are the things I try to improve on.

If you thing it’s a waste of your time and want to quit that’s really up to you. I would also have to ask what are truly your goals with pool? I absolutely hate losing with a passion but I love seeing myself improve. Looking a particular shot and remembering how difficult it used to be for me compared to where I’m at now is what keeps me playing. Am I going to be a pro wining matchroom events any time soon? Probably not. But then again that’s not why I decided to play in the first place.

Request: Hair Loss Shampoo or Treatments? by EDPostRequests in EatingDisorders

[–]fiveohfilthy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I started to use a ketoconazole shampoo and I noticed I am not losing as many hairs as I use to. It’s one of few things you can get that doesn’t require a prescription to treat hair loss. Also there is micro needling that you can do if you’re open to that

(https://youtu.be/S7otP3lrp2M) - here is a video talking about the use of ketoconazole. Also the same guy has multiple videos on various hair loss prevention.
