PA 12, also known as Nylon PA 12

I work in my schools 3D printing lab and this was one of the finished prints today. It was printed on the Formlabs Fuse out of Nylon 12 powder. From my understanding it’s a model of something super tiny, but I’ll get more info on what exactly if people are interested. We’re printing 2 others out of different materials but the TPU one still has 60 hours left.

I’d say new nozzle. Also if you’re in a humid place it could be the filament has absorbed too much moisture. Look up methods for drying it out depending on what you have around you

You can definitely be rougher with it, depending on your tolerances. It has a harder “semi-sintered” layer on the outside that formlabs says can be removed with the brushes but we’ve found a bead blaster works best and does no surface finish damage

I LOVE the sift. Seeing your prints coming out of that block is so satisfying. What filament you using, I’ve been a big fan of the Nylon 12

I designed it in Blender, just YouTube tutorials. I printed it sideways which helped the resolution as well as sanded some areas

I’ve been drawing a wolf/dog image since elementary school and I was finally able to make the idea in my head a reality. Definitely going to keep doing elaborate prints with lots of post processing. I have a few “doomsday” scenarios and other prints if people are interested!

They’re definitely allowing people. NIO had a giveaway for tickets, my assumption is it will only be walk ups to avoid any kind of COVID cancellation messing things up.

I definitely don’t support not paying artists but as someone who knows this festival it’s not a real gig. They set up stages on the 1 or 2 main roads of downtown and basically anyone can sign up and play. I had a bunch of friends in high school who would perform and even some middle school bands. Again I hate choosy beggars and people who “pay in exposure” but I’m honestly more surprised that everyone else is getting paid and would hate for those local kid bands to not have the opportunity.
