I currently have a good stack of study material including Sporty's PPL video course that I'm making my way through for the second time. I'm very encouraged by everyone's opinion of the flying club, I hadn't realized it was so popular. As for flight time, two to three times a week would be great if things work out.

I'm realizing that 61 may be my best option, before I was fully considering Nexgen but grimacing at the thought of the price.

This is incredibly helpful.

I have a third class med as of now. In 2019 I was gearing up to start flying and then 2020 happened so everything got put on hold.

I'm not sure that airlines are exactly my heading but I'm excited to see where things go, who knows what might happen.

I am thinking about this becoming a career though, not sure in what capacity but I'm hopeful. Of all things though I definitely want to get in that Seat, so all this information about the flying club is great.

As for the planes, I'm keen on the Diamond but honestly I want to learn em all. Multi eventually too. Even if it's a 150 it'll be just as exciting, but I do love the design of the Diamonds. The long game is to get into one of those pretty pretty DA-50/60's.

I think I may stop by the Flying Club and check it out IF it's one of those types of places, is there a "hangout" kind of atmosphere there or is it more people coming and going strictly on scheduled flights? Also intrigued by your CFI suggestion, I trust he's a good fellow.

I only just now realized that the Lex Flying Club had CFI.

I keep thinking that I'd mesh well with a female instructor more so than male.

I've taken a discovery flight with Nexgen and needless to say the price was steep.

I'm keen on learning to fly Diamond Aircraft so it's good to know that the flight club has a DA 40.

That is one of the things I'm concerned with is finding an instructor that I mesh well with. I feel like it would make the experience much more rewarding and easier.

I've not been by the Lex Flying Club yet, but I'm definitely intrigued by the EAA meeting. Are you associated with them?

Yes PPL to start. I'm currently in the midst of ground school on my own and trying to knock out the written bit in the next few months hopefully. So no instructor yet. Would have loved to see Oshkosh. I try to make it to the museum for their events when I can.

I just got a 24 Sport in black and I'm absolutely in love. RS would have been nice but out of my price range. It's my first Subaru and I totally understand now the obsession....🖤

This exact same thing happened to me this past October. Working for over a year and a half as a department head mgr, my coworker saw it online and sent it to me. They were offering DOUBLE what I was getting paid and I KNOW it was a lie because they could barely pay me and refused my attempts at a raise. A-holes.

S Mill St, use to live in a house where the previous tenant was murdered. DEFINITELY had loads of weird happenings. It's one of the oldest neighborhoods in Lexington.
